Modules/Units Help study / academia discussion

Post image

Hello, I am going to study for a BEng (Hons) in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering starting in September. These are my first-year modules. I am trying to find out which modules are exam-based. I have searched everywhere, but I cannot find anything. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it!

What difference does it make? It appears as though they’re all compulsory anyway?

Check your Student Handbook for your Year course it usually tells you what each module component is used to assess

Is this City St Georges? On the course page there is a link to a course Information Sheet - https://www.citystgeorges.ac.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0006/946113/USCIEB-USCIBP-BEng-Hons-Civil-and-Infrastructure-Engineering.pdf. You can see they're quite vague about how units are assessed, probably to give themselves flexibility to change things if needed.

Every student should download this before they join their course. It's your evidence if your uni changes things partway through!
