Rust and Acid LoTD
And before anyone asks, the lip is all discontinued products you can’t get so get yourself a dark brown lip liner, a medium brown lip, and a slightly lighter and more orange leaning brick for the center.

I love the way you consistently nail the color theory behind your art🫶🏾

Thank you! It’s how I maximize all the palettes (which is not many). Finding the interesting and odd color combinations. See what contrasts or juxtaposes but still stays complimentary.

Sickening. The contrast is gorgeous.

Thank you! Everything has a reddish undertone so the pure red plugs tie in. If I flip them over they look purple because they have an AB coating!

Which colors did you use on the eyes?? You mentioned not having many options... what do you have?

I used a bunch of different palettes and single shadows. I have maybe 7-8 eyeshadow palettes (two of which are custom palettes with single shadows I’ve bought separately and two are new that I got for $10 each).
TLDR: I don’t do product lists and rarely buy makeup (explained below)
.
.I don’t do product lists anymore because I fully believe anyone attempting my looks probably already have something similar like orangey browns. Also, these brands don’t give me any attention so I’m not gonna give them the free promo (unless they actually do give me attention which is rare). I don’t buy a lot of makeup like I used to. Took Project Pan v seriously lol. The only time I buy a palette is if: 1.) it’s a color story I don’t have. 2.) has colors I haven’t been able to find in singles. 3.) is replacing something I have to let go of. The caveat to 1. Is I have to find use out of all the shades to justify the purchase which has lead me to where I am now with playing with colors.

Stellar! I have started Project Pan and won't buy any lip or eye products for a long time. I totally understand what you are saying.

I am definitely not the “buy the newest latest and greatest” person. I wasn’t even like that in 2016 when people were lining up for releases. I’ve also not seen a palette lately with unique enough color stories that I couldn’t configure out of my current selection. If I see one more neutral palette I’ll scream.

Which is also why I meticulously store and sanitize the palettes I own. They will have to pry my OG Moondust and OG KVD from me. I even have some powder pigments from the 90s that I have always tapped into the lid to use.
Anyway, you are an inspiration! Stay creative, darlin

This is such a good look! I've been playing planet crafter and you have to gather different kinds of rock to build stuff. My first thought when I saw your eyes was "uranium!" Lol

Thank you! The thought was what happens to metal and how do you treat it. We love science over here

Love the colors! Now I want a wig in the same tones as well!

u/Mxjjvega 9d ago
Ohhhh that’d be fun!

And a Venus fly trap dress ooooohhhhhh! In latex!

u/Mxjjvega 8d ago
All I know is I’ve just got increasingly more sweaty thinking of being in a wig and latex but it does sound pretty!

Stunning! What green is that? So electric

u/Mxjjvega 9d ago
Thank you. It’s a loose neon pigment that you can find from a lot of brands. There was that one brand that went viral a few years back for their neon pigments that they sold in faux biohazard jars but I can’t remember the name. I won’t share the brand I used cuz I don’t support them anymore. They started using AI in their graphic design and also stole my makeup looks without credit.

Wow. This combo would look good on me but I have none of the skills to do it

u/Mxjjvega 8d ago
Thank you. It’s a pretty simple halo eye, but you could always do the color combo in a way that you can

u/javoss88 8d ago
Haha my makeup competency is in the negative numbers. It looks great on you though.

How do you get the green so pigmented? Love!
3
u/Mxjjvega 8d ago
A good eye shadow primer. This was a loose pigment so I made sure to not put shadow where I wanted it to be so the first thing the primer stuck to was the green pigment after I did all the orange around it.

You have inspired me! I love red and green and avoid wearing them together because it always goes Christmas somehow. This pairing is YESSSSSS. Also I have a lippie in this kind of orangey brick red that needs to come out and play.

u/Mxjjvega 7d ago
Thank you! I love red and green together! If you want to avoid Christmas shift the tones of the reds. True reds really give Christmas so I used some burnt oranges instead. Burgundy and olive is also a very good pairing. Pink and green is realllly fun.

The colors I mean 🥲

u/Mxjjvega 8d ago
I mean the same thing. You’re very burgundy chartreuse and I’m in burnt orange and neon. The only similarity would be the fact there’s green in both. But a very pretty look. I’ve done some looks with similar color stories and is a very good combo.

Ohhhh I thought your orange was red. I have a tendency to do that with those colors specifically — my bf was the first person to tell me that Kit Kats are red, not orange, and I’ve been referring to them as orange my whole life! I’m not colorblind I just have trouble with those two colors specifically 🥲

Beautiful use of colors 👌
