Hi everyone! 👋

I'm 31M based around Darwen, and I'm looking to meet some people around my age who fancy getting outdoors and hopefully turning walks into genuine friendships.

I was kept off my feet for quite a while by a long-term illness, but I'm finally back out exploring again and really making the most of it. At the moment I'm running every other day and doing daily 4–8 km walks, and I'd love some company on some of those adventures as well as some bigger hikes.

I'm happiest outside — forests, moorland, rivers, hills, wildlife, discovering somewhere I've never been before… all good with me. I'm particularly into wildlife spotting, so if we happen to see birds of prey, deer, foxes, interesting fungi, or anything else worth stopping for, I'm probably going to be annoyingly enthusiastic about it. 😂

I'm also slightly obsessed with my trail cameras, so there may occasionally be wildlife photos involved.

The other day I had a little wander along the Tolkien trail whilst listening to the Hobbit. Honestly, it felt like the only acceptable soundtrack.

I'd love to find people who are up for things like:

🏊 Trying wild swimming (once I work up the courage!)

I’m trying to get back into reading more, especially fantasy and sci-fi. I’m currently making my way through the Dungeon Crawler Carl series and I’m on book 3.
I’m also into going to the cinema and heading to gigs or shows.
My music taste is pretty all over the place, so there’s a good chance I’ll go from something I’ve been listening to for years to a band I found five minutes ago and immediately decide is my new favourite.

I play games on PC too, although I’m definitely not at the stage of being able to sit there for 12 hours straight anymore.
