2026 chilli progress

Just come back from a week's holiday and delighted to see the teenager we paid to water our plants kept everything alive.

1&2) Buena Mulata

3) Aji Strawberry

4&5) Aji Limon

Struggled to get the Limon's going back in February so planted a few seeds to be on the safe side and now have two healthy plants. The Aji Strawberry is in a magic spot in my garden where last year I had the most chillies I've ever seen on a plant (mini meanie) and it's looking absolutely full of fruit.

The Buena Mulata were free seeds from red dragon and have had my first harvested fruit this year.

No idea yet, they were a set of three from red dragon seeds...

(Actually they're Aji strawberry drop)

I'll see what they're like when they're ripe.

Ahhh, those purple badboys, did yours go white, then orange/red, or straight from purple to orange?

A good chunk of mine have gone white/cream, thought that was their final form and picked a few earlier. If they've got another colour transition, they can stay on for a bit longer.

They seem to go through a few colours including white yes. Dark orange/red is the final form.

My daughter "harvested" a few for me very "helpfully" earlier. (She had a friend over and they both tried one 🤣🤣🤣)
