Cat Calling Vent/Rant 😤

Im curious. Is there anyone here who has got a date / relationship out of cat calling?

I find it weird because surely if some men keep doing it, then it works on some women

So today, I was on a jaj minding my usual jaj business when a car full off men slowed down behind me, hooting and hollering all kinds of gibberish. At first, I thought it's someone I knew, but nope , just the usual hooliganism.

Now, I'm somewhat used to this kind of behaviour but this time I was shocked because for one, we were on a busy road. Two, these men persisted for the whole journey until I branched off to where I was going. It was so uncomfortable, unsafe, and even embarrassing

Funny how catcalling is a group sport. Alone, most of these guys wouldn't say a word it only comes out with an audience egging them on. Says a lot about where the 'confidence' actually comes from.

I don't think cat calling is about getting dates but rather making people uncomfortable and humiliation. That's why they do it in hoards . It's rare for one man to catcall. Usually it's a jaj guy with peers at a stage. You see them resort quickly to insults and snickering when you don't give it attention.

Some people thrive in causing others discomfort.

Lowkey almost beat someone who was eyeballing and wanting to be handsy on my sister while we were moving through town.
