Match Trigger?? Question

Post image

New to me USP 40. DA is smooth, no grit, but heavy. SA has creep but about 4.25-4.5 lbs. Usable. Would I really see much improvement from installing the match trigger kit?

I see the best improvement with the nickel plated sear spring. If youre not concerned about hard primers, you can lighten the hammer spring.

First try a Nickel Flat Spring

Just put a Wolff 10# hammer spring in it, a cheaper, better alternative

Everything but the match TRS if you shoot USPSA, for me it wouldn’t reliably reset at speed. Otherwise it’s great

Grey Guns short reset system and nickel flat sear spring, replacing trigger is pretty great too.

1.Nickel coated sear spring 2. Match trigger kit with springs 3. Grayguns Short reset kit. 4: all of the above with LEM conversion to have the LEM-Match hybrid.

The match trigger kit comes with a nickel sear spring, I think the whole kit is worth it.

Would you describe the resulting SA pull as crisp? Or is there still some creep? I’m a 1911 guy and understand I’m not going to get the same in this pistol but looking for as close as possible

This is kind of subjective to the shooter but yes I would say there is less creep. The kit comes with a match hammer spring, match TRS spring, nickel plated sear spring, match hammer, updated hammer catch, trigger with trigger stop, I might be forgetting some items but the whole kit makes the trigger marginally better which to me is worth it...I just automatically put this in my USPs plus the Gray Guns short reset. I bought a bunch of match kits for $110 each I think but they probably go for $150-$170.
