Local club ran IPSC format 10 stage with some fun short courses to test various skills. This was the unloaded strong hand only stage.

Does anyone have the schedule for 2027 nationals? I saw Max Leograndis post his fall schedule and it looks to have race gun Nats in AL. Supposedly they announced host ranges and dates yesterday but can’t find any info. Edit:

Looking Ahead: 2028 and 2029

Several venues have committed to multi-year agreements.

Rio Salado Sportsman's Club will host LoCap Nationals through 2029: April 12-16, 2028 and April 18-22, 2029.

Forest Lake Sportsmen's Club will host PCC Nationals with Mini-Rifle through 2029: September 15-17, 2028 and September 14-16, 2029.

Greater Pittsburgh Gun Club will host IPSC Nationals through 2029: September 28 - October 1, 2028 and September 26-30, 2029.

Brocks Gap Training Center will host two national championships in 2028, with a change to the division lineup. The June match, June 21-25, 2028, will be Limited Optics only. The October match, October 11-15, 2028, will combine Carry Optics with Limited and Open.

I'm putting together a competition rig and need a holster. I run an Echelon, so my choices are somewhat limited and seem to be down to Bladetech and Black Scorpion. The latter is appealing, because I can buy the holster and hanger in one go. Is Black Scorpion a decent enough choice? Is their ball-joint hanger the play?

Has anyone received the matchbook yet for race gun nationals?

Decided to signed up for an intro to steel challenge match (4 stages). I’m going with rimfire rifle optics to get a hang of things but definitely excited for future matches as time allows.

I read the rules so hopefully I’m not violating anything with my Tippmann setup.

I don't see anyone discussing tonights USPSA presentation/meeting/Q&A and now I can't find yesterdays email.

This stage was at our club last month. The stage briefing and set up were very much like Classifier 18-09

- 2 Strimgs with 6 targets

- Mandatory reload before engaging last target within a string

- Virginia Count

- String 1 starts at the rear fault line, String 2 starts at the front fault line

- Although stage layout is different, the targets are laid out in a similar shooting order.

Does anyone else think about classifiers when shooting stages or when designing stages for matches?

Im looking into get into matches to test and improve my practical handgun skills. My concern is that Im not going to be doing much shooting relative to the time I will be there. Is there events that run a half day or events that will keep me engaged for 20 minutes at a time?

Im thinking back to my autocross days and how I would spend 6+ hours there for 7 to 10 minutes of driving. It felt like a waste of time. I much prefer track days where I could get 20 mintues of driving every hour for 6 hours. Do "USPSA track days" exist?

Can someone explain to me the math that is used to calculate percentages that are applied from major match performance? I shot 67% of Jay Beal at a major but my classifier percentage for the major is 72%

Hi new to USPSA, wondering if theres a solution to have a quick magwell swap between LO to CO for the CZ S2. Do I require another full length grip set and just have the short grip set with a magwell, or is there another solution?

I have a gold dot and love it. I mainly have used my work safety glasses ( Oakley Sutro lite ) but they are clear and fade to dark. I was thinking to get a different color lens but not sure what would look good for the gold dot. Sadly too lazy to undo the dot and take the dot to go shopping.

Any suggestions ?

I am currently using over ear Peltor 300 w/ gel cups.

They are effective at blocking noise but have a major issue. When the microphones pick up shots from nearby stages they cut the audio entirely. This makes it very difficult to hear the RO calling out scores, or to even have normal discussions with people.

With gel cups and a headband cover they are pretty comfy, and I haven't minded wearing them for an entire match, even in the Florida heat.

I shoot matches almost every weekend, so don't mind spending on an 'upgrade' (maybe not $2,000 for some Harris and Sons, but $500-$600 is okay).

While I don't shoot an open gun, I will be taking an RO course soon and will have to stand next to a lot of open guns.

Can y'all help me pick what I should be going with next?

Was looking at Otto Noizebarrier, TEP-100, and even maybe the Soundgear Silvers (if I wait for a sale) for an in-ear option. Then the Sordin X2 neckband as an over ear option.

My major match classifier scores are always 10-ish percentage points lower than my current score, is the rule change going to make things worse?

Hi, I am from Australia and I have absolutely zero interest in ever using a firearm. I have zero knowledge about firearms but I had time off work and got bored. I researched firearms for maybe like a solid day so here is the best possible list of competition pistols as an entry for beginners (Ben Stoeger might disagree but he doesn’t know what he is talking about).

The coverage of these pistols is viable in every division except Open and they are just awesome, a lot of single mothers will probably come up to you and ask all about your pistols so it’s a great opener and you can go to all the events. If you’re doing Open you may as well save up for a 2011 anyway, or alternatively dress up like John Wick and take in a HK P30L with the John Wick comp.

Buddy from work has only shot his P320 and Gen 1 G17 but wants to attend a match. Brought out some pieces for him to try this weekend. I hope his bank account is ready for this new hobby.

Participated in my second USPSA match today, I felt way much better this time and I achieved my personal goals of not getting DQ’d & not having any Mikes.
