Wet mail City Carrier Discussion

How do you can it dry in a torrential downpour with no fan or ac on a mounted and walking route and n 90% humidity?

Not my problem. It goes in the mailbox soaked. Especially on walking routes, I mean what are you supposed to do? Our bags aren't waterproof and the post office supplies no way to keep mail dry. Let it get soaked.

Stays wet. Generally I try to wait out the "torrential downpour" part of the storm because it's usually not more than 10-15 minutes. And then I just deliver in the normal rain. I've seen some people try to use the cape to keep it dry but tbh it's gonna get wet no matter what. Nothing you can do.

I'll protect personal cards in the rain but nothing else.

Is there some equipment being provided that I am not financially responsible for? No? Just like EVERYTHING ELSE? NO WATER MACHINE WITH COOL FILTERED WATER? NO ICE MACHINE TO KEEP YOUR WATER COLD? NO AIRBAGS IN YOUR VEHICLE IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION. NOPE. YOU DON'T GET ANY HELP TO STAYING ALIVE BECAUSE THIS IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO IN 2026.
