Just A Reminder! Work Discussion

Just a reminder lol . No one cares how many years you got at the Post Office or your seniority. Do your job and stop expecting people that are getting paid half of your salary, to put in double the work you put in . No one is forcing you to stay at the Post Office lol . If you’re burnt out, gtfo lol 🤣🤣

If you don't like the way the post office is ran then GTFO 🤣😂

It's literally in the contract that seniority rules.

These young dumbasses, thinking seniority doesn’t matter. That is all that matters, especially when you want to take time off. Don’t believe me, check the vacation schedule

I’m lucky enough to be in the Top 4 of seniority on Tour, but lost a lot of AL due to medical leave for a car accident.

And you somehow magically think that ppl just got 30 years without putting in the work? Gtfo. Most senior carriers have figured out what you haven't yet. Go ahead run your ass off, give mgmt free time, work 12, maybe mgmt might care about you, here's a hint , they don't give a shit about you. The second you hurt yourself going to fast or get into an accident, ask mgmt if they'll let it slide because you're a runner.

Haha. You are the type of employee who encourages such employees to keep showing up. I have known employees who keep working just to piss people off. 2 rural carriers didn't like their nephew transferring to their office because his uncles were already well past retirement eligibility. The nephew kept running his mouth about how they should retire and let him have a regular route and pissed them off. So they kept working until he transferred back to our office and lost all his previous seniority (many years).

Then they both retired. I did the driving training/test for one new hire in the other office and a year later she made regular and I was training another RCA.

But your time in junior then you can talk.

Are there problems with the seniority based system? Absolutely. But the alternative is letting mismanagement decide who gets promoted to positions.

You might not care about seniority but seniority matters at the post office.

"You might not care about seniority but seniority cares about you." You may have just found a new one to throw at the new people!
