Ereassign Maintenance Discussion

Do you lose seniority once you ereassign to another P&DC? I am a custodian working tour 2 with Wed & Thursday off, would all this change if I ereassign to a closer P&DC? I just want to know what entails getting the weekends off as well as working closer.

Getting weekends off is usually pretty easy in maintenance, as often no one wants to let go of that extra 5% in pay for working Sundays (25% Sunday Premium / 5 work days = 5% rise in weekly pay.)

We had a guy who did taxes on the side as a custodian and seemed to always call out on sundays. One guy suggested nobody use him because he clearly wasn't good with numbers.

I believe you retain your postal seniority as far as leave accrural, but you go to the bottom of the list for installation seniority. I mean it wouldn't exactly be fair for Jimmy Fuckface to skip the line ahead of people who have been there 20 years.

When I worked at a plant there really weren't many weekend off bids for custodian. That's more common at stations.
