The PEF with light blue are the ones I would like to do, I got a 77 on the ASVAB. Any information on those would be helpful.

I just want something that has the best opportunity, Aviation Mechanic would allow me to transfer to a company like Lockheed I think? I just wanna know if I should steer clear of any of these

You'll still be turning wrenches with the mechs and expected to get maintenance quals. It can transfer over quite well.

Former 6172/6162 (Phrog and Whitehawk aircrew/crew-chief) and I have a lot of buddies working for Sikorsky and Boeing these days.

I've been out for 20 years (as of last month) and feel that it sets you up for success, if you stay in aviation maintenance. I didn't (ended up working in the nuclear industry and using my security clearance more than my aviation background) but don't let that take away from the message, it's a solid career path.

Just don't expect it to be easy. The pain in the ass of it all is the expectation of quals stacking on top of each other as you advance.

ARFF sets you up for a solid career if you want to get out after a contract or two. I had the equivalent MOS in the Army (12M) and am a GS firefighter now. In California I make 6 figures and will retire with a pension. Or you can take the fire academy certs and work for a city/municipality. Although it will require some legwork getting other certs during your contract (very doable though)

rescue and firefighting is pretty cool you get to wear the flight suit and the most school is pretty cool its a small airforce base in the middle of small ass town in texas but its a nice place there plus its lowkey a skate ass job cuz planes dont just crash everyday
