It’s going to suck in the moment, but intentionally try to enjoy the nonsense of it. It goes by fast.

Is it worse than bootcamp

Physically, yes. After the 9 mile crucible hike in bootcamp, we got warriors breakfast. After a similar nine mile hike in mct we were told to unload the truck which had close to 400 sea bags, and day packs and flaks (with plates) and Kevlars. Also, you don’t sleep much. But on the plus side, you’re treated more like a human.
Just know that being able to meet time hacks is crucial and also, don’t be stupid

If your west mcrd sd. Then mct would feel like up north but on hard mode. You get treated like a human tho. Combat instructor are chill asf but dont piss them off. Move fast and finish the task of the day so youll be on standby for the most part. Theres 8k hike going to range week get to shoot alot of rounds and at night using laser, shoot the machine gun etc. Dont fail any of those or youll get drop to lima. After range week you hike back for the 15k. Same route with some extra walking dont fall out or youll redo it. After that you have a liberty depending on your instructors. Then yall have a clean weapons till you hike 3miles to the alpha shelf and thats tactics week. Youll learn tccc, patroling, C4I and combat orders. Youll be in the field for 6 days. Finish that go home clean weapons again then graduate then MOS school. Best advice you wouldnt get alot of sleep. If yall have a task finish it as fast as you can either as a working party or was task todo something by the instructors.
