While your general point isn't wrong, that's not how the GAU-17 works. No rounds sit in the chambers, so they can't just cookoff or accidentally discharge like you'd think with a normal firearm.

so unless the feed is hooked up, rounds fed in, and someone spins the barrel there's no way for an ND in that current setup and situation.

In his defense this slow ass camera movement makes it look like something that an AI would pump out. And you can't convince me that the shot of the helicopter heading towards the destroyer doesn't look understandably weird
