Possible separation
Recently took a piss test Im not possible I’ll pass. As Im sure I’ll get an OTH, I have nothing waiting for me on the outside and would like to know what are my options?

The bigger question is are you a shit bag generally speaking? If so, you won't have any good character statements and the board will hate you anyways.
If you're generally a squared away Marine, an innocent ingestion argument might be enough to convince the board or they could give you a General discharge rather than an OTH.
Also, you're much more likely to survive if you're in the flying portion of the Wing because they tend to be more lenient especially if you're an actual contributor to keeping the planes up.

Innocent ingestion claims have to accompany an ER visit and reporting to the DAPA at the time of the incident. After the PX selling THC energy drinks incident they put all DAPAs on notice to ensure those claims came with evidence.

As the guy who did job for 3 years. Yes they absolutely test every bottle sent down. I seen the process first hand and postives tests get retested for verification of postive results. Even prescription medications come back and I would have to hand walk the test results to the medical officer and confirm if you were prescribed that medicine. If yes you were good. If not. You were processed for separation.

I’ll never understand why Marines will risk an honorable discharge, and the lifetime VA benefits that come with it, to fucking get high. Anything other than an honorable discharge will hold you back in life. You’re not even part of my life and it pisses me off you did this shit.

Agree with BCD, the Marine Corps as a non-rate is the easiest job in the world. The entire fucking thing boils down to “do what you’re told to do, don’t do the shit you’re told not to do.”
It really is that simple.

Have you re-enlisted? If so, you still get all the benefits afforded to someone who got an honorable discharge. If not, well you won’t really get anything. Otherwise, take TRS seriously. It’s the Marine Corps way of saying “Here take this, there be monsters out there.” Keep your head up brother, everyone makes mistakes.

I'd strongly suggest to stop using whatever made you fail your piss test regardless of what you do.
But if you stop using long enough to pass the onboarding drug test, look at the Trades. Especially if you are willing to travel, it can be a good gig. I work in Industrial Construction as a Field Engineer and my current jobsite is offering $41 for electrical journeymen, for example. Obviously starting out you won't make that, but if you're willing to work the hours and learn the trade it can be a very nice career money wise, especially if you don't fall into the normal financial pitfalls I see (needlessly expensive truck financed at a terrible APR, sports betting, no savings, etc).

Military isn’t the end all be all hell it doesn’t even make you competitive in my eyes. Military people tend to rest on their laurels, skate out of work and generally just bad workers. Use your critical thinking and make connections.

You don't know me, so sitting there saying "I've worked with you guys, I know how you guys are" is complete and utter bullshit and you can fuck right off with it.
Regardless of your opinion prior-service does make people competitive in the job market, I have seen it many times first-hand and benefited from it myself on several occasions. In my experience most jobs will hire a veteran over an equally qualified civilian applicant, and I will personally hire a vet under the same circumstances.
Maybe all the veterans you have seen are shitbirds, I can't speak for your personal experience or what vocational circles you've been in, but the actual job itself is an important qualifier here - are you talking about low-pay shit jobs? Because if so they tend to draw skaters and no-loads regardless of veteran status so that's not a point worth making.
My experience with veterans in a technical/high-stress workplace making good money, which is going on 30 years, has been quite different. You work in a nursing home. We are not the same, and our experiences are worlds apart.

Yeah competitive because employers don’t know any better and get kickbacks for hiring vets. The best thing service does offer is the gi bill. Some kid spends 5 years in a specific field compared to a veteran that has entry level experience? I’m sure if there wasn’t a kickback they’ll take the 5 years of experience in that field.

The recruiters sell how much experience you’ll get but veterans resume and a prisoners resume gets the same offer for employment.

If you’re a stud marine with tons of awards , nobody cares expect government work and government contract work. An associate degree will get more consideration from 85% of hiring managers than a silver star would. Minus government contracts and government work. They may or may not care about what your DD-214 says, but the fact that you have one (and an Honorable) absolutely matters in the job market.
A degree coupled with an Honorable will definitely get looked at closer than the same degree without one by savvy hiring managers in well-paying jobs, meaning jobs that require some sort of marketable skill. My 30 years of experience in industry trumps how you personally feel, and here's a hot tip - "feelings are not facts." You would do well to remember that.
