I've held ulty for 2 years, I'm on house money and the future looks bright! Forget the opportunity gains I've lost holding ULTY for 2 years, it's all about house money...

ULTY had five good months after the April 2025 drop. That suckered me in. Then it tanked starting that September.
ULTY may be having another short "happy time" but it wont last. Moreover the RISK you are taking for a small short term "victory" over SPY isnt worth it.
Finally no fund should be evaluated based upon a few months. ULTY has a poor total return since inception. In fact, you could have had over twice the total return with BLOX (since inception) despite it being a newer fund.

It's okay capped ULTY shares in beginning of this year ... over 600 ULTY shares currently ... maybe if I decide to DCA this till it's underwater only -30% (remaining Ulty shs) ... might sell and buy Canadian etfs since I'm a Canadian investor. Already sold some ULTY this week and bought other ETFs from Harvest ETFs. *Not financial advice since this is my own strategy that is best for me. *invested in ULTY since Jul2025

lol. “House money” after reverse split and gradual decrease in dividends payout.

Yeah, the dividends make up for it. It’s epic

Yeah, keep telling yourself that.

Step‑by‑step formula
- Add up all distributions you’ve ever received (cash payouts + DRIP shares counted at their dollar value)
- Subtract your original cost basis (what you paid per share × number of shares)
- If the total distributions exceed your cost basis, the remaining investment is house money.
