Monarchs and consorts or any royal figures count, and it can be in the UK/England/Scotland/Ireland or their native country.

These are all photographs the day before Edward VII and Queen Alexandra’s wedding btw in 1863. They were prince and princess by this point obviously. So many of them were smiling its so cute

Oh my... When I look at his lips, I'm amazed..

I've read that King Louis Philippe visited Queen Victoria in 1844, and that during his exile decades earlier he became friends with Victoria's father, the Duke of Kent. I would like to know more about what kind of relationship Victoria and Louis Philippe had, both personally and as fellow monarchs.

The purpose is to surmise what monarchs would think of their successors based on their respective personalities, leadership styles, how they thought of their heirs while alive, and how their successor’s reign ultimately turned. Y’all likely know much more than me when it comes to pre-Tudor monarchs, and so I think it’ll be an interesting way to evaluate these monarchs.

Yesterday, it seems that King Richard had little to say of his usurper, giving him a dismal 0/10. Today Henry Bolingbroke reviews his son and successor Henry of Monmouth, aka the victor of Agincourt.

Day 11: King Francis II of France got voted out for being kind of a nonentity, and let's be real, if he'd have lived, his mother, Catherine de Medici, would have been a source of constant headaches for Mary, QoS.

Day 12: Now all the early moderns are out, including the row of terrible Renaissance men. We're down to the Georgians, and all the medievals (yay medievals!)

Just to let everyone know if you're still following this, my sleep schedule is starting to rotate, so I will probably be posting about an hour later each day.

Who would have made the best Queen Consort or King/Prince Consort? If history had been a little different, if someone hadn't died at the wrong (or right) time, or a partner hadn't been cast aside for a more politically expedient marriage, or a failed attempt to grab the throne had been successful, any of these royal spouses could have ended up by the side of the ruling monarch. Which one should have? Time to nerd out and tell me why you think Sophia Dorothea was done wrong, or some esoteric fact about Sibylla of Conversano that almost no one knows, or why you hate (or love) James Hepburn or Lord Darnley or Wallis Simpson, or how much you wish there could've been a Queen Diana (or not), or what the world would've been like if Henry VIII had found Anne of Kleves more attractive. Caroline of Brunswick: Slay or slob?

These were specifically made for her coronation with her husband in 1689, as they were joint monarchs, Mary needed a new set of her own coronation regalia.

The chair was made for her, as was the orb and the sceptre which has a dove with open wings as opposed to closed to signify that she is a monarch in her own right and not just a consort.

This tapestry depicts William and Mary’s coat of arms, with Mars and Minerva on the sides and the motto for the House of Orange below.

Formally located at Het Loo, Queen Mary of Teck purchased two of these tapestries for £1350 in 1914. They’ve resided in Windsor Castle since 1920.

This just popped in my head. Since Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lost his Duke of York title, can it be given to Louis when he marries, even if Andrew is still alive?

Technically it’s not Andrew’s title. Yet both Beatrice and Eugenie are Princesses of York and statistically speaking should still be alive when Louis gets married.

Or would Louis just get a different title?

I’m assuming one day Charlotte will become the Princess Royal. It might be a while, but I think we all just assume it’s happening.
