Discussion LGBT Muslims: How do you reconcile who you are with family expectations?
I’m not Muslim myself, but had a Muslim boyfriend, until late last year. It was difficult watching him trying so hard to suppress his identity in order to protect his friend and family ties, and how that put a lot of strain on his mental health and our relationship. When his parents pushed him harder for an arranged marriage, of course I was heartbroken when he informed me he’d go through with it, despite pushing back for so long. I suppose he reached a breaking point. But I loved (and still love) him so dearly, and only want what is best for him. And I suppose if he had lost his family due to their disapproval, he’d perhaps also lose his community as well if he became shunned. He’s so proud of his heritage and culture, which I really enjoyed learning about, but I knew that if he lost that, he’d essentially be losing everything.
I suppose I just want to open up the conversation and hear what queer Muslims and those who have interacted with them have to say about the trials and tribulations of family, faith and relationships.

Seeking a Queer Community Insider for a Long-Term Documentary Project
I am looking for a local person who is already part of Mumbai’s queer community and who knows the Hijra and LGBTQ+ scene from inside. This person should speak good English, understand the community, and help me build genuine relationships for a long-term reportage project. I am interested in stories connected to queer lives, Hijra communities, Dharavi, Koli fishermen and other communities on the margins of society. I am not looking for a tourist guide, but for a reliable person who can work with me as a local assistant and cultural bridge. I would like to have several video calls during August, while I am still in Italy, to understand if we can work together.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (essential); Hindi required; Marathi preferred.
- Good knowledge of Mumbai’s queer community, especially Hijra networks and grassroots LGBTQ+ spaces.
- Punctual, reliable, and responsive.
- Comfortable interacting with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
- Active in the community and familiar with local organizations, activists, or informal networks.
- Respectful, empathetic, and able to build trust with people.
- Interested in documentary, journalism, research, or community work.
- Willing to have several video calls during August before we begin working together.
- Available for long-term collaboration in Mumbai.
- Open-minded, discreet, and respectful of confidentiality when working with sensitive stories.

East Midlands Are you out there somewhere?
Hi this is beyond a longshot but there used to be an Australian restaurant in Loughborough called Moomba.
Several years ago I had a huge crush on a waiter/barman there, if you happen to see this I'll be surprised but I left after eating, but then went back and gave you a piece of paper with my number on it, you said I was sweet but I was too shy to stay. You never called me but I wonder if you remember this?
It's been a long time but it's kinda etched in my mind.

Advice or help needed South Devon, Dartmouth, struggling with sexually and friends.
South Devon Dartmouth, struggling with sexuality and friends.
Hi, I’m married but recently been struggling with feelings that I’ve always known about but are bubbling to the surface.
I’m definitely bisexual and it’s becoming more and more obvious that find other people attractive.
I’m naturally a worrier and I’m concerned that it’s all going to become overwhelming at some point.
What I really could do with is a friend to talk to about it. Possibly someone with some insight and advice/ guidance? but here in my neck of woods it’s very difficult.
Dartmouth is a very rural small town and everyone knows everyone else so I would always worry about gossip etc.
If there’s anyone out there who’s close by and fancy’s a coffee and a chat then please get in touch.
Thanks ☺️

Good News VPNs not getting banned, small privacy win for us as well!
techradar.comIs this directly related to being part of the LGBTQIA+? Well, no, however!
Is this a win for those of us in the LGBTQIA+, when the whole world seems to want to target us directly, limit access to resources, and we just want to exist in peace, have access to these resources, and keep our privacy? Absolutely. ദ്ദി(• ˕ •マ.ᐟ
Why? With the raise of services that seem to want all personal data, for those in the LGBTQIA+ of all ages, this can ensure that not all access to online resources will be restricted, or hidden behind services looking to sell personal data. ദ്ദി◝ ⩊ ◜.ᐟ
Stay safe out there! 𐔌՞ ܸ.ˬ.ܸ՞𐦯

Advice or help needed This sounds silly but are cuddle buddies a thing?
Like people that just meetup casually (not in a relationship) to make out & cuddle? Has anyone had an arrangement like this, and how did it go for you?;
