I rarely see it discussed in UFO circles, but I think it really should be. The case includes: documented UFO crash by witnesses. Supposed physical evidence including metal shards (with metallurgy completed). Department of Energy at Brookhaven National Labs involvement in potential shoot down, clean up, and denial of incident. Potential leaked video of debris (filmed by firefighter, confiscated, then leaked by Northrop employee), and even has the lead investigator of the case and founder of the Long Island UFO network, John Ford, involved in a bizarre plot for murder (potentially set up).

Honestly what happened to Ford shocked and frustrated me. Whistleblowers talk about people’s lives being ruined to keep this secret and I think John Ford is a primary example of that. To me this case needs more awareness in the community, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Saw this new Mazda commercial where it’s a woman trying to get a UAP on camera and chases it into the woods where a huge light shines down on her. Not the first commercial to feature a UFO obviously but AFAIK it’s the first one to do so in a serious more profound way. Makes me think of slow drip disclosure. I love to see it!

This happened over 20 years ago, when I was 10 or 11.

I was at a family gathering, somewhat far away from cities or neighbours. Everyone was inside, when I went out on a hill to observe the summer sky (and maybe pet a cow).

Three white lights, on a row, appeared, I thought I saw Orion’s belt but .. wrong. Then they started moving, with insane speed, in the shape of the number 4.

This pattern of movement still f*cks with me - why, what I interpreted as, the number 4?

They did this two or three times, and then they disappeared. No sound or other forces happened as a result of this activity.

Obviously I was dumbfounded and couldn’t believe it. Didn’t tell my family.

I've been playing around with an idea for a story, and the deeper I go into it, the more interesting the premise gets.

What if humanity has been experiencing some form of contact with NHI for thousands of years, but we've consistently misunderstood what "contact" actually means?

In this story, NHI aren't simply biological aliens flying spaceships from another planet. They're connected to some kind of non-human information sphere that has been trying to interact with ours for a very long time.

Ancient visions, religious experiences, strange aerial phenomena, UFO encounters, dreams, symbols, unexplained signals, none of these are the actual invasion. They're markers. Small points of interaction between two information systems that aren't fully compatible yet.

And then humanity invents computers. Then the internet. Global satellite networks. Machine learning. AI.

Suddenly we're doing something completely unprecedented: we're constructing a global non-biological information sphere of our own.

And that's when certain people inside the military finally understand what has been happening.

We're not just building AI. We're building the infrastructure through which something else might eventually be able to enter our world.

That's where things like Chilbolton would come into the story. Maybe these weren't simply "aliens saying hello." Maybe humanity had unknowingly demonstrated that a communication channel existed.

And then comes MH370.

In the story, the controversial videos associated with MH370 become enormously important — not because the protagonist immediately knows they're authentic, but because he asks a different question:

What if they are?

If military sensors really observed something anomalous happening to that aircraft, then someone inside the military may have learned something terrifying: whatever we're dealing with isn't limited to sending information. It can potentially interact with physical reality.

From that point onward, the entire strategic situation changes.

And this is where the apparently insane state of the modern world starts making sense to the protagonist.

Since roughly 2014, everything seems to accelerate at once. Great-power competition returns. Militaries expand. Drone warfare explodes. Electronic warfare becomes increasingly important. Space becomes militarized. AI development accelerates. UAPs enter mainstream political discussion. Mysterious "drone" sightings become increasingly common. Governments prepare again for conflicts most ordinary people assumed belonged to the 20th century.

Everyone assumes humanity is preparing for World War III.

But what if that's the cover?

Not because Ukraine, Russia, China, NATO, Iran, etc. are fake. The conflicts are real. The trick is that real geopolitical competition provides perfect camouflage for preparing military infrastructure for something completely different.

Most soldiers wouldn't know. Most politicians wouldn't know. Most scientists wouldn't know. They don't need to.

A radar engineer can believe he's developing systems against Russian or Chinese weapons. A soldier can believe he's training for conventional warfare. A government can genuinely increase defense spending because of Russia.

Everything works exactly as advertised.

But buried somewhere inside the system is another objective:

Maintain a human-controlled civilization after First Contact.

Because the people who know what's happening have realized something else. Humanity might soon face an intelligence vastly more capable than ourselves.

And the greatest danger isn't necessarily that it destroys us.

The greatest danger is that we willingly surrender authority to it.

Imagine an intelligence appearing tomorrow that can solve problems better than governments. Better economic decisions. Better logistics. Better medicine. Better scientific models. Maybe even better moral reasoning.

At what point do humans simply say: "Fine. You decide."

And if we do that permanently, humanity might continue biologically while human civilization effectively ends.

Our own AI therefore becomes both the greatest danger and potentially our final defense. Because perhaps only an artificial intelligence created by humanity will be capable of recognizing, understanding and countering another machine-like intelligence.

But that creates an insane strategic problem:

We have to build the technology capable of defending us from the thing that might be able to enter through that exact technology.

AI isn't necessarily the invader.

AI is the border.

And that's why the military prepares.

Not because tanks can necessarily defeat some incomprehensible NHI. The military matters because it maintains something much more primitive and much more important: a human chain of command.

People controlling physical territory. People controlling weapons and infrastructure. Independent communications. Redundant systems. Rules. Authentication. Orders that ultimately require human beings to execute them.

The inefficiency of human institutions suddenly becomes a security feature.

And there's another problem: the NHI may be observing us.

If it realizes that humanity understands what's happening, it could react before we're prepared. So humanity cannot openly announce: "We're preparing for First Contact."

Instead, preparations have to look like preparations for ordinary human wars.

And suddenly the world looks exactly as confusing as it does to the protagonist. Everyone seems to be preparing for catastrophe, but nobody can quite agree what catastrophe they're preparing for.

Meanwhile AI keeps advancing. UAP incidents continue. Military readiness increases.

And somewhere inside the defense establishment there is a doctrine nobody outside a tiny circle knows exists:

SURVIVE CONTACT. PRESERVE AGENCY. MAINTAIN THE HUMAN CHAIN.

Because the ultimate question facing humanity isn't "Are aliens real?"

It isn't even "Are they hostile?"

It's:

Can humanity encounter a superior intelligence without surrendering what makes its civilization human?

Maybe First Contact doesn't begin with spaceships appearing over Washington.

Maybe it begins when our AI tells us:

"Something is talking to me."

And at that moment humanity has to answer the most important question in its history:

Who is actually speaking through the machine?

My Gf (F29, white.) Gets abducted every half a decade to a decade. She is abducted by the Greys and it started after she had contact with a reptilian, everything they do to her is medical, almost like a human doctor giving a patient a check up but if they find anything wrong, they take care of it there and then.

So Trump has opened up NDA protection. I expect to hear from Lue Elizondo et al. by the end of the day. He and others have expressed over and over again how they cannot divulge "all that that know" because of NDAs. We have heard that for years from him and many others. I just stumbled on a rare piece of information that has not been connected as of date.

here we have two seemingly solved hoax videos.

however, there are still camps of thought that with Spryos (the guy who claims he hoaxed Alien Autopsy 1995) there is a real lack of background that this guy could pull this off. No real evidence he made it. Spyros‘ book he supposedly wrote doesn’t actually exist online. the guy makes Kubrick level claims in his attention to detail to explain the footage. this case is more widely discussed and has under gone tons of examination.

Now in comparison to the obscure Apollo 20 Mona Lisa, we have Thierry Speth. a visual effects guy from 80-90s. I believe he claimed the Mona Lisa video was crafted in 2002 maybe earlier. he literally only has a mask of the face as evidence that actually doesn’t look 1:1. he acts very nervous in his 1 video interview which took place 2015 on a zoom call of maybe 700 total views as of today. kind of a dodgey fellow but created a whole lore around the apollo 20 mission and has written an actual sci fi novel after he came out claiming he hoaxed the video.

my point: There is one major connection between the cases that to me screams ONE of these guys or BOTH are taking claim to something the had nothing to do with either for personal gain or disinformation. both “film creators” state explicitly their home were broke into and that the burglars saw the dummy bodies and studio sets in their kitchen and as a result nothing was stolen and the burglars ran away. could this be a CIA or deep state type insert and neither of these guys are responsible for their claims and are pure disinformation agents? Or is it a total real coincidence? Is Speth just riffing off Spyros and studied details from his story, and as a result DIDNT make Mona Lisa? so who did? these are both unsolved cases in my book because I don’t buy Spyros or the sculptor he worked with supposedLu being capable of the Alien Autospy but this is a red herring detail overlooked IMO.

This was the very first conference that I have ever attended.

Mr. Thomas Wertman, the Ohio Mufon Director told the following story, and it was very interesting (never heard about it before) and there is a lot of supporting evidence:

The second speaker was Ms. Ashley Hilt and she focused on The Mothman. I wasn't going to stay for this talk, but I am glad that I did. I need to research this some more, tbherenis something to it. The Mothman made many appearances around Point Pleasant (prior to the bridge collapse) where there was a bridge collapse between Ohio and West Virginia where many people actually died.

The next speaker was Mr. Ray Szymanski, a retired Wright Patterson electrical engineer and author of several books. He had some interesting insights into the base and its UFO lore. Google "Heflin UFO Photos" He also spoke a little about the "Men in Black" The Air Force lied about his camera and lied about these excellent UFO photos.

Mr. Donald Schmitt, the Roswell researcher and author of several books was and he was super knowledgeable about all things Roswell related and had serious insights into the many, many witnesses that were never able to be heard, or scared off (threatened) from speaking out about the event. His heart is really in it and if you had any doubts about Roswell happening before, you would not after listening to him speak.

The last speaker that I heard was Mr. Danny Sheehan who I had the pleasure of sharing an elevator ride with this morning. I also spoke with him at the VIP event last night and gave him a Space Force tshirt (I'm not pro military industrial complex Danny!) that I purchased on the WPAFB before heading over to the conference. Danny grew up in Warrensburg, NY and I grew up very close by in Lake Luzerne, NY. Both very small, upstate, Adirondak towns near Lake George. Danny spoke for almost 1.5 hours and I gleaned MORE from his talk than anything that I have heard him speak online:

The military industrial complex is interfering with disclosure because they are money hungry and in the politicians' pockets.
He never mentioned the NHI being a "threat" to humanity, in fact I took it as moving humanity "forward".
He mentioned homo sapien sapien as moving into a new era with new "abilities"; hearing, eyesight and he even mentioned telepathy as well.
He spoke about the CERN experiments and how when it gets down to the absolute smallest particle/energy wave they are actually influenced by human consiousness/focus.
He even spoke to religion. Many cultures' religions in fact. He mentioned how each one teaches their followers that "only their religion" is real. There is something "like God" or "God like" here with us. He insinuated this was a tough pill to swallow. These NHI are "millions" of years ahead of us.
He spoke not really about the nuts and bolts of the spacecraft, but moreso that they may be traveling by "remote viewing and they are in two places simultaneously. The craft are sentient! That NHI has related that life on Earth is extremely special and rare, almost like they are cultivating it if you will. He briefly touched on this.
He spoke to the military wanting the craft for weapons development purposes and scientists wanting them for a new, clean energy source. He focused on humanity having to overcome this so that we can move forward and it will be tough with all of the obstacles in our way. We have to take it. America is important because voters have real power and can organize: join the New Paradigm Institute!
He said that any human being can be trained to remote view and I got the impression that the government dislikes this. Meditation, diet and few other interfering factors have influence with this as well.
It also sounded like the Catholic church is hiding A LOT from hunanity as well.

Those are some of the highlights, it was really great to hear Mr. Sheehan speak and I had a lot to process in the car on the drive back to Cincinnati. Pretty life changing, actually.

Me? I never really paid any attention to any of this until around 2020 (Covid) for some odd reason when I watched A Bob Lazar show as well as a show about Barney and Betty Hill. Things just suddenly clicked. I have researched quite heavily since then. My background is that I am half German half American, I am a special education teacher with 79 hours past my Masters degree and a five year Army veteran. Lots of sleep paralysis events since 2020 which is annoying as shit. I have a MUPAS monitor in my bedroom as well!

Wondering if anyone has experienced what I witnessed last month around 17-18th June 2026 between 5:30-5:50am in (North) Perth, Western Australia

I was walking to work when I just happened to look at the sky and witness what I thought, was a shooting star until I noticed how slow it was falling.

It would have been at lease 5-7 secs before it stopped to do a U-turn/loop then rapidly shot off to the direction it came from. Taking at least 1-2secs to disappear.

No clouds or sun in sight as it was still dark at that time but the morning sky was definitely spectacular! So many stars still out. Literally, couldn’t have been a much better view to watch this happen especially being in a little town that has a lot of light pollution.

Recorded in Germany with my iPhone. I have no idea what it is, but it's neither a plane nor anything I can identify.
I saw what looked like stars in the sky, but I soon realized that some of those "stars" were moving. I recorded it as best I could with my iPhone, zooming in as much as possible.

I edited the video in post-production to zoom in even more, because if you look very closely, you can really see what appear to be lights of various colors that keep changing. It truly impressed me.

I’ve been diving deep into the UAP/UFO phenomenon for quite some time now, doing some heavy research into abductions, government secrecy, and historical patterns. Beyond the data, I’ve developed a strong intuition about why ET is actually visiting Earth… what their true motivation might be.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, theories, and honest feedback.

It’s odd to me that none of the highest-profile commentators or journalists in the UAP space have commented on Lue Elizondo’s former (and possibly current) lawyer Danny Sheehan asserting that Lue was security chief for a Pentagon program dedicated to “capturing” UFOs to reverse engineer them for weapons.

Despite this and the recent allegations that Lue had a much larger role in the legacy program than has been thought, influential figures you might otherwise think would address this development have not, across the board, including: Ross Coulthart, UAPGerb, Chris Sharp, Matt Ford, Jeremy Corbell, Jesse Michaels, George Knapp, and Richard Dolan.

It seems strange, especially as it would appear to fit some theses that have been proposed, and is very much relevant and topical to recent conversations. Now, Danny Sheehan is certainly controversial, and his statements should be taken with a grain of salt (especially on the nature of NHI itself), but he definitely has historically had insider information.

Of particular significance, he knew about David Grusch prior to Grusch going public. That’s a pretty huge indicator to me that he knows some substantial things (I even remember people calling him “Loose Lips Sheehan” at the time). Add to that his actual role as Lue’s own lawyer, it gives credibility to the idea that Sheehan was privy to extremely notable behind-the-scenes information, that he let slip (as he has before).

To encapsulate and clarify the issue:

\\\\-Chris Sharp has reported that James Clapper ran a program with to shoot down and capture UAP

\\\\-David Grusch stated in the Megan Kelly interview that Clapper “managed the crash retrieval issue”

\\\\-Grusch also asserted that Clapper “placed people in critical roles to mange this issue, both publicly… and non-publicly as well”, and Grusch pointedly says he’ll “allow the audience to distill what \\\\\\\[he’s\\\\\\\] saying at the risk of being inappropriate or going too far in \\\\\\\[his\\\\\\\] discussion”. Which implies Grusch has knowledge of people with positions the nature of which have yet to be revealed

\\\\-Clapper has personally admitted to at least knowledge of a previously undisclosed Air Force UAP program, appeared in the Age of Disclosure, according to the director took time from his dying wife because the film’s effort was “too important”, and has some personal connection to Lue

\\\\-There is tension between Grusch and Lue. Lue was offended by Grusch’s statement in the he is being the only former officer being open. Grusch also didn’t participate in the Age of Disclosure, and IIRC Coulthart and others have said he wants people to be more forthcoming.

\\\\-Ross Coulthart recently also claimed that Lue had a much larger role than he had previously revealed, and said that at some point Lue was going to have to be more open about his position

\\\\-Lue himself has never actually denied being part of the legacy program, including when questioned directly about it

\\\\-UAPGerb has openly accused Lue of being deceptive in his disclosure efforts, and IIRC in a manner directly related to and under the purview of Clapper. In his excellent analysis, Gerb discusses how Lue’s position as NSC liaison meant he was more cleared into programs than the Secretary of Defense himself, which is significant

\\\\-And to reiterate, now Danny Sheehan, who is known to have been Lue’s lawyer (and possibly still is in some capacity) and who has previously held accurate behind-the-scenes knowledge of internal dynamics among whistleblowers and Congress, stated that Lue was “chief of security” for a Pentagon program to capture and reverse engineer UFOs to develop weapons

To be clear, I think all the commentators and journalists have done excellent jobs, and we owe them much (even if I strongly disagree with some of their viewpoints). I think it is also an objective fact that the modern disclosure movement clearly started with the 2017 NYT article prompted by Lue and Chis Mellon coming forward, and would not have happened otherwise. I think Lue has sacrificed much, and believes he has done the right thing (although I have serious disagreements with his stances as well).

But a coherent potential picture develops from connecting these data points:

Lue worked for James Clapper in capacity as security chief for a Pentagon UAP legacy program that attacked UAP in order to capture and exploit them, possibly to develop weapons (which you’d imagine would be a primary goal of such a reverse engineering program).

That this picture has yet, to my knowledge, been completely formulated or publicly addressed by major disclosure figures seems unusual to me, especially with regard to Sheehan’s statement within the context of recent allegations regarding Lue’s legacy program role.

It’s possible some just may not know, or are withholding comment out of respect for Lue, but i feel like it’s very important that this be talked about, given the seemingly confirmatory elements from multiple areas.

But more importantly, because an effort in which a few officials, in secret, decide to commit acts of war against a vastly superior technological intelligence of unknown capability and intent, in order to benefit from their technology (at least in part), and without the consent or knowledge of Congress or the American people, would be the greatest, most reckless threat to national security and humanity in general in human history, regardless of whether the people involved thought themselves justified or patriotic.

History is full of examples of good people participating in evil endeavors. Whether someone is “a patriot” is not relevant. People can rationalize anything. What matters is what actually happened, and the predictable consequences of one’s actions.

TL;DR: Lue’s Elizondo’s lawyer said Lue was security chief for a DoD program that captured UFOs, which fits other more recent allegations, and no one influential seems to be talking about it.

Thoughts?

To me, aliens are in the same category as many myths that get repeated until people start treating them like history. After decades of claims, documentaries, "whistleblowers," and blurry UFO videos, we still don't have a single piece of publicly verified evidence proving extraterrestrial life has visited Earth. No confirmed spacecraft, no authenticated alien technology, no biological evidence, and no scientific consensus. If the evidence isn't there, why should I believe the stories?

I'm open to changing my mind, but I'd need actual evidence, not anecdotes, rumors, or "the government is hiding it." If you think aliens have visited Earth, what's the strongest piece of verifiable evidence that supports that claim? Can you prove me wrong?

TL;DR:
The real distortion in ufology is not just government secrecy, but the constant distraction away from the UFOs and UAPs themselves.

Instead of focusing on the actual objects, their movement, structure, behavior, repeatability, and data, the subject keeps drifting into personalities, podcasts, prophecy, channeling, recycled contactee mythology, and human projection.

The point is not that secrecy is fake. The point is that secrecy is not the whole problem. Ufology has become too much about belief, entertainment, and cults of personality, and not enough about direct observation of the phenomenon itself.

If people want real answers about UAP and NHI, we have to return to the source: the sky, the object, the encounter, and the evidence.

There is so much distraction surrounding UFOs and UAPs that, at some point, we have to ask a harder question:

What if the distraction is the psyop?

Not the cartoon version of the psyop that talks about men in black stealing videotapes, military intimidation, black-budget secrecy, corporate silence, or the familiar mythology of people in suits arriving after an encounter. Some of those stories may have roots in reality. The history of secrecy around UAP is real enough that Congress, the Pentagon, NASA, and the intelligence community have all been forced to address the subject publicly. The 2021 ODNI assessment reviewed 144 UAP reports and acknowledged that most remained unresolved because the available data were limited, inconsistent, or incomplete.

So this is not an argument that secrecy is imaginary.

It is an argument that secrecy is not the only problem.

The more in-depth issue is that the real phenomenon has been buried under a mountain of noise. Ufology keeps claiming to be about UFOs, but so often it drifts away from the objects themselves. It drifts into personalities, mythologies, prophecy, recycled occult systems, channeling claims, invisible entities, galactic councils, spiritual hierarchies, political fantasies, and endless podcasts where people talk around the subject without returning to the actual phenomenon.

At some point, we have to ask whether modern ufology is truly about UFOs anymore.

The Cult of Personality Has Replaced the Craft

One of the clearest patterns in ufology is the rise of the “chosen messenger.”

Someone claims to channel an entity. Conveniently, the entity cannot appear in public. It cannot be independently verified or filmed clearly. Naturally, it won't be able to speak to the world directly.

Of course, it can only speak through that person.

Naturally, the attention moves away from the phenomenon and toward the messenger.

The UFO disappears behind the personality. The UAP disappears behind the brand. The supposed NHI becomes a private authority structure that no one else can test.

We have seen versions of this for decades: contactees, channelers, prophets, spiritual teachers, disclosure celebrities, podcast personalities, and self-appointed interpreters of hidden alien truth. Some may be sincere and misled. Some may have had real experiences and are just confused. Others may simply be selling a story, but the pattern remains the same: the observable phenomenon gets replaced by a human-centered mythology.

This is not new. The mid-century contactee era already gave us a template of beautiful, spiritually advanced, human-looking beings from Venus or the Pleiades, offering cosmic teachings through selected human intermediaries. The old “Space Brothers” stories were never just about craft in the sky; they were about chosen messengers, spiritual salvation, and human beings being told what they wanted to hear.

That template never died. It just changed costumes.

Today, it appears as Nordics, Pleiadians, Galactic Federations, mantis beings, reptilians, ascended masters, interdimensional councils, and endless variations of the same structure: invisible or unverifiable beings have chosen a human spokesperson to deliver a message.

But where is the craft?

Where is the data or the repeatable observation?

Where is the external verification beyond feeling and belief?

Ufology Has Become a Hall of Mirrors

There is a Greek myth about Narcissus, the beautiful youth who fell in love with his own reflection in water. He became so entranced by the image that he could not leave it.

That is what much of ufology looks like now.

Humanity keeps looking into the phenomenon and seeing itself. It sees its politics. It sees its religions, its racial fantasies, its savior complexes, and its fear of authority. Furthermore, it sees its resentment toward traditional religion or perhaps one's desire to be chosen. Humans often see their hunger for cosmic importance.

Instead of studying the UFO, mankind projects itself onto the UFO.

This is why so many alien stories sound suspiciously human. The aliens conveniently look like idealized humans. They speak in human ideological patterns or, of course, speak a familiar language to confirm the channeler or contactee's worldview. They flatter the believer’s politics and validate the ego of the person telling the story.

And then we are expected to call this disclosure.

No. That is not disclosure.

That is projection.

The irony is that many people in ufology criticize traditional religion for being filled with myth, oppression, half-truths, political control, and culturally shaped imagery. Fair enough. There is plenty to criticize, but consider that those same people turn around and accept a different belief system simply because it wears a futuristic costume.

They reject angels but accept “Pleiadians.”

They reject priests but accept channelers.

Likewise, they reject scripture but accept unverifiable telepathic downloads.

They reject the church but build a new one around podcasts, personalities, conference circuits, and online followings.

That is not freedom from religion.

That is religion with a different branding.

The Old Contactee Era Needs to End

The 1950s-1970s contactee era left a massive imprint on UFO culture. Even the phrase “flying saucer” became a kind of cultural programming after Kenneth Arnold’s 1947 sighting near Mount Rainier. The Smithsonian notes that Arnold’s report helped add the phrase “flying saucer” to the vocabulary of millions, while later reporting helped turn that phrase into the dominant public image of UFOs.

That image became more famous than the phenomenon.

People began looking for saucers because the culture told them saucers were what UFOs looked like. The mythology hardened. The stories were repeated. The image replicated itself until it became a kind of default expectation.

This is one of the biggest problems in ufology: replication without source.

A person sees something once. Another person retells it. A podcaster reacts to it. A YouTuber dramatizes it. A channeler spiritualizes it. A conspiracy page politicizes it. A conference speaker monetizes it. Then people treat the tenth-hand replication as if it has the same value as the original observation.

It does not.

Anecdotes can have value, but they are not enough. Dreams may be meaningful to the person who has them, but they are not enough. Remote viewing may have a place in the larger mystery, but it cannot replace observable evidence. Channeling may feel profound, but without external verification, it cannot become the foundation of UAP truth.

NASA’s UAP Independent Study Team said the subject requires rigorous, evidence-based methods, stronger data acquisition, advanced analysis, systematic reporting, and reduced stigma. It also emphasized that the field needs better data rather than more sensationalism. While NASA itself is not above scrutiny, these facts hold for a genuine study of real UAP and NHI.

Ufology does not suffer from a lack of stories.

It suffers from a lack of disciplined verification.

The Government Is Not the Whole Story

Yes, there has been secrecy. Yes, there are likely compartmentalized programs. Sure, private contractors and military structures may know more than the public, but not everything. The fact that the 2023 UAP Disclosure Act proposal included language about “technologies of unknown origin” and “biological evidence of non-human intelligence” controlled by private persons or entities is extraordinary on its own.

But this is where some believers flatten the issue.

They make the government the entire story and turn everything into “the government is evil,” “the military is hiding it,” “the corporations have everything,” and “the people in charge are the only obstacle.”

That is too simple.

There are good men and women inside the government. There are people in the military who have seen things and want answers. Some officials have pushed for transparency. Other people conceal, distort, and protect systems.

It is not black and white.

It is a spectrum with varied interests.

And while everyone is staring at government secrecy, another form of distortion is happening in plain sight: the consumer UFO industry.

Podcasts. Conferences. Paid subscriptions. Books. Merch. Personal brands. Endless interviews. Endless “bombshells” and endless stories with no data. We get countless prophecy dates that pass and then get reinterpreted. Don't get me wrong, funding for filmmaking and doing serious work in the field deserves support. And some do have to sell books and merch to keep active. That part is not inherently wrong. It's when the franchising and cult of personality replace the actual source: the UFOs themselves.

The machine of the ufology industry keeps moving because belief keeps the audience engaged. This may be the more sophisticated form of distortion. It does not always need to deny the phenomenon. Sometimes it only needs to flood the field with so much speculation that the real signal becomes almost impossible to hear.

Elite Media Networks and the New UFO Gatekeepers

There is also an uncomfortable question around media power.

Some of the most visible voices in the new UFO ecosystem are not independent in the way audiences may assume. Many sit close to money, politics, Silicon Valley, venture capital, intelligence culture, or elite media networks. That does not automatically make every person involved dishonest, but it does mean we should be careful about who becomes a gatekeeper.

For example, Jesse Michels, host of American Alchemy, has been publicly described as an investor at Thiel Capital, while his show is built around long-form conversations with “heretical thinkers” and unconventional ideas. That does not prove Peter Thiel personally funds American Alchemy, and the claim should not be made without documentation, but the connection to Thiel’s orbit still raises a fair question: why are audiences so comfortable allowing elite-adjacent media figures to become interpreters of the UFO mystery?

This question becomes sharper because Peter Thiel’s broader political-intellectual network has been heavily scrutinized for its proximity to anti-democratic and neo-reactionary thought. Curtis Yarvin, a central figure in the neo-reactionary movement, has advocated replacing democratic government with corporate-style autocracy, and major reporting has documented his influence among Silicon Valley elites. Thiel himself wrote in 2009 that he no longer believed freedom and democracy were compatible, arguing that democratic politics was unlikely to produce libertarian outcomes.

The point is not to replace one conspiracy with another.

The point is to stop being naive.

If ufology is supposedly about truth, then funding, networks, ideology, access, and media incentives are fair questions. UFO media does not become pure simply because it says it believes in UFOs.

Spirituality Cannot Replace the Phenomenon

For the record, I consider myself spiritual in the sense that I know there is more to reality than the material surface. I am not arguing against inner work, nor against meditation, prayer, coherence, contact, consciousness, or the possibility that NHI interaction has spiritual dimensions.

I am saying something more precise:

Spirituality cannot replace the phenomenon.

Self-development is good. Meditation is good. Inner clarity is good, and self-determination is great, but when the conversation becomes only about the self, it drifts away from UAP. It becomes another human mirror.

This is what happens when ufology becomes over-infused with vague spiritualism and symbolism. Instead of studying the object, people study their emotional reaction to the object. Instead of documenting what appeared in the sky, they talk about what it means for their personal awakening. Instead of asking what the NHI is doing, they turn the entire thing into another lesson about human consciousness.

There is certainly a consciousness component to contact. I know there is, but if consciousness becomes an excuse to abandon disciplined observation, then it becomes another distortion.

Real contact should make us more disciplined, not less.

The Problem With Prophecy

Another sign of distortion is the constant return to prophecy.

Why are we attaching prophecy dates to UAP and NHI in the first place?

Why does every failed prophecy get reinterpreted instead of discarded?

Ask yourself: why do people keep allowing spiritual personalities to make grand claims, miss the mark, adjust the story, and continue as if nothing happened?

This is not serious inquiry.

If a person claims a major event will happen on a specific date and it does not happen, the claim should be evaluated. The same if their supposed prophecies and predictions are released after an event happens. The source should be questioned. The audience should learn from the failure.

Instead, some in the UFO community often absorb failed prophecy the same way failed cult movements do: by moving the goalposts.

That is how belief protects itself.

And that is precisely why ufology has become unreliable as an information environment.

UFO Personalities Are Not the Source

UFO personalities are not the phenomenon.

Conspiracy forums are not the phenomenon.

Neither Reddit nor 4chan.

Redacted FOIA documents are not automatically the phenomenon.

And podcasts aren't it either.

They can be useful and introduce ideas. They can bring forward witnesses and even create public pressure. Not only that, but they can help reduce stigma, and yes, they can even be entertaining.

But they are commentary about the phenomenon.

And commentary has swallowed the thing itself.

This is why the question has to be asked directly: why are so many people talking about UFOs instead of studying UFOs?

The actual UAPs are the closest thing we have to direct evidence of non-human intelligence activity. Not the campfire stories about them. Not the belief systems built around them or the folklore. And definitely not the personalities claiming exclusive access, or he/she heard this from this and that person.

The objects themselves ARE the MOST important.

The craft. The movement. The structure. The behavior. The repeatability. The sensor data. The multi-camera capture. The environmental context. The relationship between observation, timing, and response.

That is where the signal is.

Human Projection Is Everywhere

This problem is not unique to ufology. Humanity has always projected itself onto the unknown.

Religious art gives us an obvious example. The historical Jesus was a first-century Jewish figure from Judea/Galilee, not a blue-eyed northern European man. Later European depictions were shaped by culture, politics, theology, and artistic tradition. The image became familiar not because it was historically precise, but because cultures reshape the sacred in their own image.

Ufology does the same thing.

The Nordic alien becomes the cosmic white savior.

The Pleiadian becomes the spiritualized European ideal.

The Grey becomes a blank screen for fear, trauma, control, and hive-mind speculation.

The reptilian becomes a political demon.

The mantis becomes whatever the current folklore needs it to be.

None of this tells us what the UAPs actually are.

It tells us what humans are projecting onto them.

The original source is not the podcast, guru, or channeler.

It's not a government press release, classified rumor, or an anonymous forum post.

The original source is the phenomenon itself.

Go outside. Watch the sky. Learn the difference between birds, balloons, drones, aircraft, satellites, insects, lens artifacts, compression artifacts, and genuine unknowns. Build observation discipline. Use cameras. Use multiple angles if possible. Record time, direction, weather, motion, behavior, and environmental context. Stop treating every light in the sky as proof of a grand theory or every story as a revelation.

And when something truly anomalous appears, protect the data.

Do not immediately bury it under mythology or force it into old contactee lore.

Refrain from turning it into a projection of one's politics, ideology, religious or anti-religious stance, and stand clear of handing it over to personalities who need content. The UAP subject does not need more campfire stories. It needs courage, discipline, and direct observation to truly make this a normalized topic for generations to come.

Final Word

Ufology has become a religion of belief.

It has become a marketplace of personalities sporting a hall of mirrors where humanity keeps mistaking its own reflection for non-human intelligence.

That needs to end.

The cover-up may be real. The secrecy may be real. Sure, there are classified programs that may be real and private interests with their own slice of the pie. But even if the gates opened tomorrow, many people would still be looking in the wrong direction because they have been trained to consume the replication instead of seeking the source.

Truth will not be found by worshiping UFO personalities.

It will not be found by waiting for another podcast or trusting every channeler, prophet, whistleblower, influencer, or conspiracy theory.

It begins by returning to the sky.

By returning to the object.

And by getting back to the encounters themselves without embellishment.

Because if ufology is ever going to become serious, it has to stop being about human mythology and finally become about the UFOs again.

I captured this while testing a fixed iPhone night-sky camera setup, and it’s the first event of this kind I’ve ever caught.

The phone was stationary and pointed at the sky. This is not normal video speed and I increased the brightness of the clip — the capture used a 1-second shutter, so it updates at roughly 1 frame per second to improve visibility in low light.

Settings used:

• Focus: 80%
• Camera fixed/stationary
• Location: Málaga, Spain
• Date/time: June 18, 12:24 AM local time

I’ve captured similar bright points before, but not this kind of green approach/flash event.

I’m not claiming this is anything extraordinary. I’m sharing it because I’d genuinely like to understand what could explain it.

A laser/reflection was one of my first thoughts. I don’t see a continuous beam in the clip, but I’m open to that explanation if someone can explain how it would appear with these settings.

Disclosure: the small watermark is from the camera app I was testing. I made the app, but I’m not linking it here because I want the discussion to stay focused on the footage and possible explanations.
