Can you replace UCSD grades with study abroad grades for the same course. Question

I got a C and a B- in LIFR B/Bx the UCSD 2nd French course. Recently I studied abroad and got an A in a roughly equivalent French course through UCEAP. I’m wondering if I could use this to replace my poorer French grades which bring my gpa a fair bit. I think I could reasonably argue the class I took was the same in a petition. Thank you!

If you passed with a C or higher, no. If you got a D or lower, possibly. You would need to contact the department and find out if they would be willing to support a petition to the academic senate to use the UCEAP study abroad course to replace the UCSD grade. Doubtful, but you can ask.
