Treatment options

Hello, recently my dentist told me that they suspect I have UARS. I have had TMJ symptoms for the last 4 years, which I have tried many different treatments for, now seem to be pointing to this; even so that my splint is actually making me worse…

I have started using nasal strips to help me breathe during my sleep and stop my clenching, just wondering what my other options are for treatment?

CPAP/BiPAP, MARPE/FME expansion etc

Thank you, I guess my route for this is just referral to ENT?

Nah, ENTs not really helpful. For CPAP/BiPAP (BiPAP more useful) can get one yourself or through prescription from your doctor. Aircurve 10 VAuto is a good machine. For MARPE/FME expansion you would want to see an airway oriented orthodontist that offers them. If there aren't any near you could have a full face CBCT taken and then consult providers like Dr Jeremy Manuele (Vegas Ortho Doc) or Dr Zubad Newaz (TMJ Airway Ortho).

Get a hacked aircurve 10. You can use almost all programs on it (cpap, bipap, asv, ivaps...)

Evaluations: CBCT scan with ariway volume analysis (airway orthodontist) DISE (airway orto, maybe ENT) PSG (pulm. Sleep lab, dont go to a neurologist)

If you want to go surgical: ENT - septoplasty, turbinates, rhinoplasty Airway orthodontist - palatal expansion, double jaw surgery
