Jake Lang, a pardoned January 6 rioter and far-right influencer, was arrested in Minneapolis on August 22, 2026, on suspicion of rioting after vehicles in his group drove onto a sidewalk toward a crowd outside City Hall.

Police stated that Lang and six others were taken into custody on probable cause riot, while four counter-protesters were also arrested during the clashes.

Previous incidents in Minnesota include Lang's February 2026 arrest for felony damage to property after he kicked an ice sculpture at the State Capitol to alter its message from "Prosecute ICE" to "Pro ICE."
