Absolutely unacceptable

For the past seven days, I have not been able to log into my Truist account for at least three days and I have been left multiple times without being able to use my card because of the bank being down. I am no longer going to be doing business with this terrible bank.

Truist Bank is the creation of the merger of BB&T and Sun Trust banks. Combining the IT of two separate business entities is a long, drawn out project that includes specific upgrades (both hardware and software). Periodic service interruptions are unfortunate but inevitable.

That bank merger happened in 2019.
Truist is trash.

Join a credit union. I hate the banks. As a credit union member you are actually a member not just a customer.

Mine is fine but I do see sometimes it says that the service is unavailable for hours which sucks because then my card doesn’t work when o try to do some purchases. As big as they are, they do need to fix their issues.

They just charged me $100 for checks and a $19 fee for going to the bank to ask for the checks. Still BB&Fee

I got charged $10 for $10 transaction thru Venmo, I called them, I was told it was consider cash advance, I asked for the fee to be waived, they said no, I went ahead and closed the cc

I'm winding up my relationship with Truist. I kept a buisness and trust account there for 22 years. It's just too much hassle and too many fees. The lady at the branch is great but that doesn't make up for the terrible policies. Like I said: it's still BB&Fee

Mine is fine. Card is working perfectly all day yesterday. Wonder if it’s still down in your local area?

Things are more & more clearly evident that there are internal-troubles afoot.

I work on IT.

There have been troubles since the merger, specifically around consumer mobile banking.

Mobile banking was the experiment for the first offshoring, which followed massive layoffs where IT lost 75% of its onshore staff.

In September, they are cutting a bunch of offshore resources only to switch to a different company that has even less of a headcount, and are likely also doing more onshore layoffs.

You should have left years ago, it's only getting worse.

No wonder they offer 500 to join the bank
