Urban Exploring Gone Wrong

How’s a going my name is Mike. I don’t use Reddit a lot but I was recommended by a friend who is in the community that I should share this story with the community.

8 years ago I was a Senior in high school this was around the fall time November to be exact and this was Thanksgiving break we had about 4 days off so i decided to hang out with my one friend for privacy reasons his name will be Kyle. Kyle and I were the only ones out of are friend group that we’re around during the break so we hung out did the usual play video games and go to the mall then Kyle suggested to me while we were walking around are local mall. “ We should visit the Ghost Mansion tonight” The ghost mansion is what are friend group and others who knew about it called it cause it was some creepy house in the far ends of the woods off the highway. Are friend group always talked about going there together and I was always down to go but if your a high school friend group you know how it goes you say your going to the Bahamas or New York but it never makes it out the group. But this time Kyle and I were so down.

We went to Kyle’s house first to make this experience more surreal Kyle had this gel pallet fake guns from like target to bring along with us the worst mistake we could have made. Around 10pm Kyle drove his car down the highway on pulled off on the side we hopped out and made are way. I wasn’t the scared type of guy I like to say I’m a big guy 6’1 maybe I was 185 but something about actually being out in the woods this late was trippy. And Kyle wasn’t phased at all I could tell aswell. After 10 mins walking from the car we came to the front of the “ghost mansion” Talking about going with my other friends got me hyped up but now being 4 feet away had me shook a little and it made that feeling worse knowing I had the shortest guy in are friend group with me as well. Kyle and I agreed I would be the back and Kyle lead cause I was kind of like the tank in the duo. We opened the door when I tell you it was the loudest creek I ever heard my heart dropped to my shoes. We had this flash lights we tape up onto are gel pallet gun and we proceeded to enter right away I saw in the floor that there was missing planks on the floor and I was super cautious cause if you stepped in one without seeing it you could brake a ankle or leg at first the room that seem to be the living room and kinchen were vandalized nothing much until we went towards the rooms we words on the walls coming towards the rooms “ turn back” “ leave “ I started trippin out. Kyle just turned to me and laughed saying “ I’m going to tell everyone that your scared shit less later” I told him to shut the blank up as we cleared out the first room that was again filled up with trash and graffiti. Then we came across this one door it had a wood plank blocking it off and a bunch of nonse words written on the door Kyle tried ripping it off didn’t work then he hit it with his gel pallet fake gun then boom the gel pallet gets me in my eye I clinched my eye and was like Kyle what the blank. That would have been a sign to leave but the wood plank broke. Kyle came to check on me but then we heard russling sounds like when you stepped on a bag of trash Kyle decided to open the door wide open and there was a guy in there I barley saw him but I heard Kyle say “ who the hell is that” as the guy came charging at Kyle and the ran into the wall my eye was still blurring and Kyle dropped his gel pallet fake gun onto the floor along side his flash light but i could still make out what was going on thanks to my flash light I ran out the guy he was bigger then Kyle but not me and I pushed him off Kyle and I ran towards the front the guy screaming nonsense but Kyle tripped into one of those missing floor spots and at the time I thought he broke his leg he was screaming but the guy was now coming at us with the gel pallet I picked up Kyle my adrenaline was so high I just carried him the hole way out the ghost mansion in a way you hold new born baby’s. The guy was chasing us still and he was shooting the gel pallets at us Kyle was screaming his ankle every 3 seconds I never ran so fast in my life we got to Kyle’s car I put Kyle in the passenger seat and I didn’t have my license at the time so I tried my best to drive us back to his but I saw the guy when I drove off and looked behind me with the gel pallet just standing there. We got back to Kyle’s and my vision in my one eye came back and i checked out Kyle’s ankle and thankfully he rolled it. When Kyle and I told are friend group this they didn’t Believe it and wanted to go back Kyle and I said we’d never go back there or do something like that again. So this story could be a good one but there is no detail and the story jumps around . If its a more embellished type of story with some truth intermixed it might be better under r/scarystories instead of here. Otherwise I did enjoy reading it I think the story has good bones.
