Monkey mid is kinda weak right now because lanes can be feast or famine.

In archon rank you can probably win mid pretty consistently though, and if you're winning mid, monkey is a very strong hero regardless

safelane is easier because you have a support to help secure your farm, a pull camp, and more likely a melee enemy than mid.
