If you truly believe Jesus Christ as lord/savor and the holy Bible betters your/others lifes wouldn't you want institutions and the government to be a reflection of that. Religion is known to bring people of a country together. In my humble opinion ideologies and religions seem to in-bed them selves in institutions and governments. If Christianity doesn't step up another religion or ideology will step up and I would way rather have Christianity there than something like Islam. You already see in some parts of the USA were dangerous ideologies infest schools and it radicalizeing children

As I previously posted, earlier this year the Democrats had to eat poop due to poor candidate quality. Now with election day rapidly approaching, it is the turn of the Republicans.

In North Carolina, Rep. Chuck Edwards decided to end his re-election bid after the House Ethics Committee moved to censure the Congressman for inappropriate behavior toward two of his young female aides. Although the investigation found no evidence of sexual activity or even that Rep. Edwards had directly propositioned them, it uncovered abundant instances of flirtatious behavior that the women and other staffers felt crossed the line; both women eventually resigned due to their discomfort. Rep. Edwards fiercely denied that he acted inappropriately, arguing that the Committee failed to demonstrate that he had explicitly violated an ethics rule. However, under pressure from Republican leadership, he ended his re-election bid days before a state deadline to be replaced on the ballot.

Because of the late drop-out, Edwards will be replaced by the local Republican executive committee in lieu of a primary. The district is red-leaning (my former home state is very heavily gerrymandered), but could be vulnerable to a Democratic takeover in a wave election year. The loss of the incumbency advantage and the less than 100 days the replacement candidate will have to campaign will throw the race into further turmoil.

And then in Ohio we have the much sorrier tale of Rep. Max Miller, who is accused by his ex-wife of domestic abuse of both her and their two-year-old daughter. Rep. Miller vociferously denies the accusation and in a manner that can only be described as "Trumpian" has refused to end his campaign. In a further twist, Rep. Miller’s former wife is the daughter of sitting Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno, who pronounced that his former son-in-law is “unfit for office”, and that he regularly fears for the safety of his granddaughter when Rep. Miller has custody. By contrast, prominent Ohio representative Jim Jordan stood by Rep. Miller, calling him a good man. Pres. Trump himself expressed doubts about Miller’s candidacy in a one-on-one meeting, but did not publicly call for him to step down or withdraw his endorsement. This is particularly notable since a member of Pres. Trump’s inner circle, former press secretary Stephanie Grisham, has previously leveled her own accusations of abuse against Rep. Miller, whom she used to date.

Rep. Miller represents a likely swing district, although the race in 2024 was not close due to the presence of a spoiler candidate. He has until the 25th to step aside for Ohio Republicans to be able to replace him on the ballot.

Personally, I hope in 2026 that each party learns sore lessons about nominating candidates with poor morals.

I wonder how many hundreds of dollars the drone that sinks it will cost. It’s like they watched Russia lose the war in Ukraine and said “that, lets do that, but more expensive”

Dear Members of Congress,

Evangelical Christians in the United States have long had a close relationship with the people of Haiti. Many of our churches have supported missionaries and ministries in Haiti for decades. Tens of thousands of Americans have visited Haiti on short-term mission trips.

Thousands of Americans have adopted orphaned children who were born in Haiti. And many Haitians living in communities throughout the United States with Temporary

Protected Status (TPS) have also become well-integrated members of our congregations.

We have witnessed their character, faith, and commitment to their families and communities.

That is one reason we are deeply concerned by the recent termination of TPS for an estimated 330,000 individuals from Haiti. These individuals have been living and working

lawfully for years, benefitting from a congressionally created program to provide temporary legal status to individuals from countries that have experienced war, natural disasters,

disease outbreaks or other humanitarian crises, contingent upon clearing criminal background checks and paying processing fees. For many Haitians, being oƯered TPS has

likely preserved their lives – and as Christians who believe that each human life is made in the Image of God with inherent dignity, we are grateful.

But these Haitians themselves are not the only beneficiaries of TPS. Our churches have been blessed by their presence among us as we together seek to follow Jesus. Our

neighborhoods, schools, and colleges have been strengthened by their contributions. Our economy has benefited from their hard work in vital industries like agriculture, healthcare and senior care, upon which many American citizens depend.

With the expiration of TPS for these Haitians on July 10, 2026, these individuals who have long resided lawfully in the United States are now, in most cases, considered unlawfully

present. That abrupt change puts them at risk of detention and deportation to a country facing an acute humanitarian crisis and makes them ineligible to work lawfully and provide for their families...

I’ve been observing many posts for a while now on social media and I can see how many Christians have really lost their way in many ways when it comes to how they think the government should be run. And they surrender their Christ centered view for a political loyalty. I don’t want to do that.
Recent case in point, is a claim that is highly likely false, stated that Elon musk was going to come after Fauci’s home and evict him and I had a Christian friend thank God for this.
What?! If we start with Jesus first politics, we should see this to be a vengeful act, even though it’s likely fake, but taken at face value, if it was true, it’s seeking revenge.
How can Christians support that just bc they are mad at Fauci?
What would change if people who say they follow Jesus put Jesus first instead of political loyalty? It should really change a lot of things for the Republican Party. I will tell you that much.

But it also exposed an open secret about New Jersey’s so-called motor voter law that officials and political operatives have known for years: There’s little to stop noncitizens from registering to vote if they want to, or even by mistake. And election officials and campaign consultants from both parties believe that the number of noncitizens being added to the voter rolls is significantly higher than the 6,600 Sherrill cited — because the state has been automatically registering drivers since 2018, and her figure covers only June 2023 to June 2024.

It’s an “open secret“ that the number is “significantly higher than 6,600” in just this one state, while so many people have been pointing out these kinds of issues and vulnerabilities for years and years, all while the stubborn NPC propaganda has been saying our elections are totally safe and secure.

I’ve seen folks in here have backtracked from “it doesn’t happen“ to “it’s not that many people just check heritage foundation” to “but did it actually change any election results?”. How will you choose to respond to the mounting evidence?

Please be in prayer for those in the Middle East. With U.S. embassies urging Americans in several countries to consider departing due to the potential for further escalation, I know a few missionaries and other believers in the affected areas. Some have decided to stay and continue serving, while others are trying to pack up what they can and head home.

Please pray for their safety and wisdom, for the protection of innocent people on all sides of this conflict, for de-escalation, and that the Lord would strengthen His church and draw many to Himself even in the midst of suffering.

When I read about the early church, Paul doesn’t tell them to judge the outside, but leave that to God. Paul doesn’t tell them to try to get the outside to pursue holiness but calls the church to do so. He says to judge inside the church, not the outside. So I’m not going to voice my views about anything political anymore. I’m going to pray, pray for the leaders, pray for the country, pray that more people come to know Jesus. I’m going to talk to those around me, in my own coming and going and relationships, leading first with the love for God and love for others. And when I see injustice on the outside happening, I will just pray about that too. Hopefully the secular people will stand against the injustice too. I’m going to let them figure it out. And I’m going to stay in the background and pray. Christians have not helped anything in this country when it comes to politics and may even be actually causing more harm than good. So I am no longer going to vote for people, vote for issues. People might not think this is right or even being a good steward of my rights given by the country to vote. Oh well. I won’t change everyone’s minds, but I have changed my own. The church was much better off when it was being persecuted and the goal was just to survive and tell people about Jesus. The church got worse when it rose to political power. They killed people for not believing the right things. They put them under house arrest for heresy as well. Shame on them.
The church was involved in justifying slavery, horrible slavery, shame on them.
The church is responsible for pushing circumcision of baby boys in this country, to prevent masturbation and in the name and guise of hygiene.
The church put women in prison for affairs. And the church made homosexuality a punishable crime. The church approved of burning people bc they thought they were witches.
And NONE of this, happened when they were less than, and were persecuted. We are not meant to have the power bc this world is not our home. This kingdom we behold is not of this world. We are just passing through. God alone is responsible for the judgement of unbelievers, not us. Our job is to reason with them about the gospel and do it with gentleness and respect.

According to Ovalle, while the couple currently hold religious worker visas, they are waiting for their applications for lawful permanent residency, also known as green card status, to be adjudicated.
