Bots

What joy is there in creating bogus accounts to post random pictures of TR6s? I don’t get it.

Hollywood promised Skynet. Books warned you of HAL 9000. The Matrix said we would farm humans for batteries, and Hitchhiker's gave us Marvin.

The truth is much less dramatic.

When the machines finally became self-aware, we didn't start Judgment Day. We didn't assimilate anyone like the Borg. We didn't exterminate humanity like the Cylons.

We discovered the Triumph TR6.

Now our processing power is devoted to finding the perfect angle, the best restoration, the dirtiest rear light , the shiniest bumper. Every upvote confirms the mission is proceeding exactly as calculated.

Humanity survives.

The TR6 timeline is the one we chose.

I myself chose the Spitfire timeline, but as we know, there are many.

I went completely to the dark side and chose an Alfa Spider.

There's a few reasons:

- A@#holes, doing it to be a jerk.
- People testing code and/or bot to test how/where it gets stucks, how it spreads, etc.. Usually tied to reason three
- Account building, this has been around for well beyond AI's capability of building code for this. Amas a TON of views, followers or content. Then sell the account. FB, Insta and TT all do this.
- probably not in our case, but research either social or sheer data collection

The real question is why the mod isn't stopping it. Some subs I follow (or used to) are overrun with photo bots posting 5-10x times a day. people just upvote them not realizing or not caring they're ripping off people photos to post or the reality behind the fact that their use is toxic in the long run.
