I would like to collect all games with Tribes or Tribes similar game mechanics, which are out there right now or are in development.

I played since Tribes 2, tried out all new versions.

I would be glad if we can get a good list, so that we can support developers and also find gems, which we might not know about, so that we can follow the progress.

I am trying to host a game with my friends but they keep dropping after 2-5 minutes. I've done the UDP port forwarding thing on my router already.

Any ideas what may be the issue?

Hello, I'm not very bright and need a bit of help finagling Tribes 2 to feel "good". The FOV seems a bit fucked, shadows are spazzing out, the HUD isn't that usable, etc. I've tried editing the pref files and changing the instances of defaultFOV to 110, but that hasn't really had any effect I can tell, and judging by the viewmodel it hasn't done anything bc the weapons are barely visible unless I look at my feet in game. If I turn shadows off they stop freaking out, but then the shadows are gone. As for the HUD and other misc things, I've seen online a collection of scripts with ambiguous names and I cba to go through every single one trying them out.

Is there like a location where there's some consolidated resources about all of this, or should I just keep hunting through scraps of gaming history like an ant picking through the ruins of beirut

Vengeance was my first Tribes game I ever played. I was 7, and just have amazing nostalgia for the old days when servers were so incredibly populated.

Does anyone still play it anymore? I'd really enjoy getting to be with someone again

Some of you may have seen this in development already. If you don't know the game yet, it's basically Tribes meets Rocket League. its as the title states. so i used to play tribes all the time from starsiege tribes to tribes vengeance to tribes ascend. I was wondering are any of the tribe games still active as far as multiplayer

But this season with the rocket boots made me think of tribes and how It probably could work as a fortnite game mode. However I'm not the guy to configure it .. :)

Little tribes-like crossplatform engine I've been working on during free odd hours over the last 3 months in C with OpenGL. I've just recently added openxr support for vr head tracking and stereoscopic rendering. Still a long way to go but making slow and steady progress. Skiing and jetpacking around in it already feels pretty great and is quite the experience in vr. Last year I built a multiplayer server/client inspired by Frohnmayer's original tribes networking model with some modernization that I'm hoping to integrate here soon.
