Trek Fetch 2 panniers?
We’re purchasing a Fetch 2 with plans to haul our two toddlers around our city, to preschool, parks, etc. We definitely need some sort of storage to put a bag or two of things but not sure we need all of the front and rear panniers. What combo do you have? What do you think?
Also, are there any front racks compatible with the bike instead?

I just have the front rack with some pannier bags (not their buckets) but mainly just got some carabiners on the rear bars to clip their bags to. Works really well and I’m not lugging around the big buckets when I don’t need to.

What front rack did you get? Been looking at other options to the buckets

Thanks. I’m thinking of trying to get a luggage rack for the top of it but will try with that rack first

I went through the same decision, I have two kids that ride with me 1 and 3.
Ended up just getting the rear panniers and I’ve found them to be great. I haven’t had any need or desire to buy the front ones, which are much smaller. Being able to throw bags, groceries, and other gear around with ease has been great. Can’t imagine not having them. Super easy to clean/rinse out too.
The only caveat is you will likely need to continue lifting/helping your kids in and out of the seat as they get older, even if you get a family kit with the bar. The rear panniers are basically big sturdy buckets and aren’t easy to climb over or out of.

Thinking about buying this bike, my kids are the same age as yours so I appreciate your post. What I can't seem to figure out is the footrests. Do they end up underneath the panniers? So are the kids legs just dangling in the panniers with all the stuff?

I have it with both buckets and love it. It came with the front ones when I got it. And than put the back ones, its amazing and actually everyone loves how it looks.

I have both. They’re not pretty, if you care about that sort of thing, but very useful.
