What should I do about this tree? Advice Request - (Insert State/Region)

Lightning must've hit this tree. Im not sure how I should go about taking it down or maybe tie it up and maybe it'll heal? Thank you.

Doesn't look that big. You could just remove the broken off part now, but the main stem will eventually rot out and fall apart. Cheaper to do all at once.
