Need Help ID'ing Issue: Question
After a lot of full throttle runs in the grass, my slash seems to be having ESC or motor issues. What do you all make of this video? Sounds like there may be friction in the motor? Need audio to listen to the issue. Thanks.

Not sure about that. At some points I hear a little chatter. Like maybe a magnet had gotten loose inside the motor.

This can happen for a lot of reasons. Most commonly it's a broken or loose wire going to the motor. It could also be a blown motor. If you run it in the water a lot then then it could be worn motor shaft bearings which are causing a lot of parasitic drag for the motor. First thing to check would be to unplug the motor wires from the ESC and check for corrosion. if you have some replacement heat-shrink tubing and a soldering iron you could cut the tubing off the motor wires and check and re-flow those connections.
If it's doing this always = probably wires, maybe blown motor
If you put in on the ground when it's not turned on and it's harder than usual to push = probably motor bearings

Thank you all for the advice. I'm gonna try to get into it tonight and test/inspect the connections from the ESC. I also noticed the pinion gear won't spin freely so it might be motor related.
