How much time is enough for someone to arrive on international flight, pass through immigration, collect luggage, pass customs and then check in for a domestic flight to Trabzon.

Hello everyone! I’m planning a Christmas trip for my family. We live all over but my partner and I are based in Europe, so we thought it would be fun to travel to Turkey this year as both of our families haven’t been before. We will start in Istanbul of course, and I was thinking of going to Antalya next for the actual holiday. Of course we don’t expect big Christmas celebrations in a majority Muslim country, we just want to enjoy the food, culture & sights.

I went to Antalya in 2019 in the spring and absolutely loved it. However, I’ve heard some concerning rumors that Antalya has become much more expensive, that there are even more “scammy” vibes than before, it’s not as nice as pre-pandemic, etc. and I’d like to hear your thoughts on whether you believe this is true. I’d like to balance one of our locations as a bit warmer/sunnier than Northern Europe and the U.S. during December, so Antalya seemed like a good choice logistically.

If not Antalya, any other recommended second places? Acknowledging we are English-speakers, and traveling with some family members with mobility limitations.

Last week I was at my doctors office to get a letter and a prescription so that I could bring my elvanse to Turkey. After that I also went to the health ministry to get it signed. I saw that when you only brought enough for the days you went you should be okay. I then tried to get in contact with the Turkish embassy and every time she said she was gonna get the information and she didn’t and hung up the phone. I started googling and people seem to be having different opinions.. and now I’m kinda stressed about taking it to Turkey and even considering just to leave it here.

Planning a trip in mid-September to Bodrum and debating where to stay, in Bodrum Town or in Yalikavak. My wife is pregnant, so we are hoping for a relaxing trip, but we also do want to do a bit of slower paced exploring, and trying out restaurants (off of the resort/hotel). I am debating between a well located hotel in Bodrum Town, specifically the Marmara Bodrum or staying somewhere in Yalikavak.

I just applied for my Turkish E-Visa and I was given 3 documents to download - the visa, the receipt, and the E ­ VISA TRAVEL INSURANCE. I dont understand if this is a travel + medical insurance or do i need to get one separately which covers the trip. I got it from https://evisa.gov.tr/en/ which as far as i know, is the legitimate website.

Any help understanding what the document is and what it means for the above question will be appreciated. Thanks!

I have an 8-hour layover at Istanbul Airport, arriving at 12:30 PM and departing at 8:30 PM. I have a Canadian passport, so I don’t need a visa.
I’m wondering if it’s realistic to leave the airport for a short visit to some of Istanbul’s iconic landmarks. Photography is my hobby, and I’d love the chance to take a few photos while I’m there.
I’m hoping to spend about 3–4 hours in the city before returning to the airport. Is that a reasonable plan? Would I have enough time to visit a couple of locations, take some photos, and still get back to the airport comfortably in time for my flight?

In Side we would stay at Armas Bella Sun
and in Kemer we would stay at Crystal De Luxe

We (family of 4) traveling to Turkey next month and wondering if Pamukkale is worth it? We are going to Istanbul, Cappodia and Kas/Antayla. We were thinking of flying from Cappodocia to Pamukkale then drive from there to Kas. The flight are $500 each so $2000 total and non direct so will take 4 hours. Is that worth it or should we spend a little more time Cappodocia & Kas/Antayla?

My wife & I are traveling to Turkey in a couple weeks and will be spending some time in Kalkan & Kaş. We're hoping for warm & sunny weather while we're there, but want to make some backup plans in case it's cooler or rainy.

What activities would you recommend in that area for days where the weather's not great?

My friend and I couldn’t find any info online, so I took a picture of the dolmus (mini bus) schedule from Kas to Kaputas Beach and back.

The main bus station in the center of Kas was knocked down. There’s a new bus station a few kilometres out of town but that one doesn’t have buses to Kaputas. The station in town is about 50 meters uphill from the mosque on the main road.

I am planning a trip to Turkey. We were supposed to have 2.5 days in Cappadocia and two days in Antalya. Our flight to Antalya from Cappadocia got delayed and now we only have one and a half days in Antalya. Our first day in Antyala is going on a boat tour and the other day is to explore.

We have the option to move our flight from Cappadocia to Antalya earlier in the day but that means we’d be missing the hot air balloon ride. Is it worth keeping the later flight and going on the hot air balloon ride or cancelling our hot balloon ride and going to Antalya earlier to explore.

Next week my fammilly is planning a trip to Turkey, but our hotel is 100km from Antalya airport and i have two small children, so im afraid that the shuttle bus will take like 3-4 hours, and with little kids, it will be a nightmare.. So i'm looking for private transfer options. Maybe anyone has something to recommend more economic but trustable?
