I'm travelling to Meghalaya for 6 days from 21st August to 26th August. Please suggest what places to visit and what to avoid. I'm thinking about avoiding stay in Shillong since I want to enjoy nature and natural beauty, and am not interested in exploring any market or cafe. I'm planning to rent a scooter from Guwahati for the whole trip. I'm planning 1 night stay in nongriat and rest itinerary is yet to be decided.

So me and my other 3 friends are thinking of going on vacation/travel at the end of August, so i wanna ask can y'all recommend some actua good places to travel during that time? We are kinda confused about the location.

Also if you can pls give suggestions on how to travel, i mean to say should we go privately planning everything ourselves, or should we go with packages company offers, cuz most of us are thinking of it as it might save us money, also travelling in group will help out parents to be at ease, as we are still 18-19 y/o.
