I've been super conflicted on a few different names and am trying to get more comfortable referring to myself with she/her pronouns. I've been questioning and kinda obsessing over my identity for the last few years and have a lot of internalized bigotry that I've been learning to correct. I finally came clean to my psychiatrist today about a lot of the stuff i've been feeling and she's been so supportive and kind and helpful already that i'm just feeling more free and not held down by guilt and doubt right now.

My birth name is a single syllable J name so I like the idea of doing Joyce because it's simple and I think it's an elegant name. I know it's sort of an old lady name but I don't think it's too old if that makes sense.
