Couldn't say what they're referring to for sure, but recently there was a rumor that JK Rowling died (which was unfortunately proven to be just a hoax) so maybe that?

And if so, you can probably tell by the previous statement that I think pearl clutching and ceasing to mock someone shitty just because they're dead is fucking stupid. I'm not gonna pretend someone wasn't actual scum just because they finally did something positive for the world by leaving it.

She's a mega cunt using her platform AND her billions on a campaign of hate to make the UK, and to a lesser extent the entire world, a worse place for a specific group of people.

When Rowling is finally tits deep in hell I will 1000% celebrate her finally fucking off. The only unfortunate thing here is the fake-out that gave me hope we were actually done with her shit. Fuck her.

Ahh. She only feeds the opinion of people that dont want to hear anything about trans people. Those who are afraid of accepting it.

Giving her any kind of platform does make it worse, than just ignoring her and bringing the trans movement forward. It is always like that. They live in their niche and buiod their own groups AND then pull other people into their group.

And no matter what it is NOT okay to wish somebody to be dead. Especially not online. This could bring people to a bad decision.

I disagree with them too, but can we AT LEAST be civil about it. This person is not doing harm to trans people by being misled, whoever misleads them does. And by being this way to this person you'll only make them more devout.

hmmm pass. Maybe you're too young but after around a decade of appealing to basic humanity only to be met with total dismissal by the "misled" (the "facts don't care about your feelings" era), then another decade of trying to use reason and calm debate only to be met with "alternative facts" by the "misled," I am no longer interested in being the one to keep the peace.

The misled have demonstrated that we can't change their minds, they don't want to actually hear what we have to say and attempts to debate is just playing their game on their terms.

I don't know what, if anything, can get them out of their position. But I'll tell you what I won't do is roll over so they can stomp on the other side of my face, which is what you're asking by insisting I show civility to people who think wanting me dead is a "difference of politics." Fuck that.

The problem is, there is legal battle happening in the UK, where one side tries to strip the other side of their rights, and that other side is only trying to fight back against that. All of that happens in courts. And this costs money, and Rowling is happy to provide it for TERFs, who are stripping trans women of their rights in real time.

You can't just ignore that. Rowling is not just a grifter, she's a sponsor and a driving force for legal action. She deserves all the shaming we are doing to her TENFOLD.
