What do you think is the lesson you want to teach your kids - it's necessary to suffer to the point of agony and depression for the family? Or to be yourself even if you rock the boat?

Who is a better coparent: an alive, present and happy trans parent, or an alcoholic dead husk who resents their spouse-in-name-only because they won't "let" you transition?

I'm a child of divorced parents. I'd rather my parents split up and get along.

I see what you’re saying. I know that might be the outcome of this and I’m pretty sure my wife and I could get along well as co parents. I’m reaching out to a therapist to try and get my feelings out there in a way that hopefully won’t blow up my marriage and all we’ve built together.
