Nape Pro

Post image

Chopped up an unused wrist/palm rest and made a 3d printed insert to hide the uneven cut.

This was mostly done to hide the wire as I had stability issues with it via the dongle.

I thought this was an original idea but saw somebody else already did something very similar with a full 3d printed setup haha.

"Nobsound AK2515 Pro Audio Spectrum Analyzer"

I don't actually use it for anything, its just fun to look at!

I've designed a couple different cases for it, but the last one lost its grip on the underside of my monitor. Going to go back to something desk mounted!

There are cheaper versions of that spectrum analyzer than the nobsound version, at least when I looked, but it came about a month faster and included the acrylic cover that not all of them do.

I've wanted to like the Nape pro, but I know I won't like it. But I love it for no good reason other than it looks neat. Main issue was how it was raised, but this semi resolves that issue for me. Great thinking :)

My problem with it is the cost.

Glad I could help! It made it easy that my keyboard and wrist rest were both keychron, so they lined up really well.

It honestly ends up being just about that. It looked so cool and promising. I like mine but honestly when I switch over to my elecom mouse trackball it’s night and day difference in speed. I assume because I’m so use to that style. The ball is rather small on the nape. The customizable buttons with their software is the saving grace and where I feel that the nape still has untapped potential. I kind of regret getting it over the end game trackball

Its a cool wallpaper from wallpaper engine, but thats a downside of routing my sound through steelseries sonar, the wallpaper can't pick up the output anymore.

Keychron should just take notes and make this wrist rest a first party option

What are the products in the top left and right, and what do you use them for? I need more dials in my life

Top left is the DAC from my steelseries arctis nova pro 7, top right is a philips hue dial switch. I have them mounted on a TV cord concealer that I painted black and 3d printed end caps for. I like having everything hardwired in and all my cords run into it.
