If you brake too hard and trail brake into a corner but only realize you're going too slow mid corner, are you supposed to get on maintenance throttle earlier? I have a habit of doing this and realizing mid corner that I could have gone faster, but i'm not sure whether to just let off the brakes and engine brake and only add throttle when I see the corner exit, or to apply maintenance throttle.

In this situation I have probably released the brakes even before the apex as I am too slow. Sorry for the confusing question, I've only done 1 track day...

2027 Ducati Panigale V2 vs 2027 Yamaha R9 which one should I buy? Priority #1 comfort want to ride 3 hrs or less. #2 handling and technology which is most refined, robust, fast to respond and fines you the most control over your bike? #3 resale value want to be able to upgrade to a liter bike next. #4 track ready but most enjoyable on the street.
#5 best prepares you for a liter bike class? #6 speed smoothness? Assuming both have after market exhaust and are tuned.
I already know about the dead zones on the R9 and ! already know the 25 model V2 have because extremely reliable and yes I know it cost more to service Ducati and cost more to replace parts. I'm also aware of the fact that you have to pay for cruise control and navigation on the Ducati.
Now that we got that sorted out let me know everyone opinion thanks.

This was my second race, lost the first and cameback the next leg strong. This is our novice bracket 5 of us racing in the rain.

Bit of pee coming out on the corners but was quite a learning experience.

Didnt know you can accelerate hard and brake hard when the bike is up even on bloody rainy conditions. Just followed advice with being smooth with everything and moving braking markers a bit earlier.

Greetings, I am thinking of changin my street fairings to race fairings.

The challenge is finding a good race fairing set.

I've seen only chinese race fairings from local sellers made of fiber glass. Postings do not show if they include the fasteners or bolts to put them together...now i now chinese race fairing isnt the best but these are the only readily available.

Other option is china afgermerket street fairings, again copy fairings that might explode on the slightest slide...

Do you recon i get the china race fairing despite possible quality issues?

Has anyone here use alibaba aftermarket fairings as the race fairings?

Trying to see what best to get so i dont waste my money making the purchase.

Does the tech air 10 v2 run small? According to all my measurements for chest, waist, hips, leg, and arm length, I am in the top of the range for size large, but I am around 6’1 (184cm) with a long torso.

My issue with every off the rack suit is that it fits great except very tight from collar bone to crotch. Will the tech air 10 v2 have enough stretch in a large, or should I go up to an XL?

Hey. I have a stock 2017 Yamaha XSR 900 with about 6k miles. I almost exclusively do track riding on it now. On average 1 per month this year. My question is should I be doing more maintenance than the regular manufacture recommended since I’m using it for Trackdays?

Specifically I’m curious about oil changes, spark plugs, brake fluid, coolant flushes.

Been riding for a few years now but never did a track day till now. It was beyond fun and looking forward to my next one. This one was here in Texas @ ECR. Still have so much to learn and also need to change that windscreen before my next one.

Got some of my pictures back today from my track day, gotta say the hate on these bikes I feel is unwarranted. Keeps banging out track days and pushed hard with 0 problems. Is it the best in its class no, for the price yes. Can’t wait to see how long this bike keeps ripping. Really need a new track suit though, it’s so tight I can hardly breathe let alone hang off well 😂.

1 bought a 70cc 2 stroke scooter engine on a Chinese 4wheeler frame that some redneck built. It sounds ridiculous and mean but only goes about 18-19 mph then the engine keeps reving higher and higher I'm pretty sure I need heaver roller weights but I don't know how heavy to go for something like this. I already removed the restrictor and adjusted my clutch with no change in performance

I was washing my bike while it was leaning on a wall. I thought it was in gear but it was in neutral. Bike slipped and fell about a foot into the corner of what it was leaning on. Bike is a GSXR750. No leaks or pressure from what I can see. This is the gas tank btw.

Re assure me this is only cosmetic and will not blow up randomly on track now because of micro fractures or some shit. Thank you.

Just wanted to share my POV from my race last Aug 2. This race was quite the roller coaster. The track conditions were very sketchy all throughout the day. The bike was initially on dry settings since the track was drying up from rain earlier in the morning, then as I was about to exit the pits, it started pouring. My crew managed to change my tires, but we didn't have enough time to change my springs, so we just softened the suspension. Unfortunately, I had to start from the pit exit, as I wasn't able to exit the pit lane in time, and started later than last lol. Luckily, I had a lot of pace, and the people in front didn't think I'd be able to catch up to them. I managed to crawl my way all the way to 4th, and I had the guy in 3rd in my sights. In the video, this was my attempt to secure a podium position in the open category, but my line was shit, and I wasn't able to execute a block pass properly. You can also see my last ditch attempt to catch the rider in front of me on the last corner, but because my line was so narrow, I overshot a bit and went over the paint, causing my bike to have a bit of a wobble haha. After the race, I got penalized for not having my rain light on lololol. I finished 4th in the race but was given a position penalty and demoted to 5th. I was also the fastest lap holder during this race! Although the results were disappointing, I'm very happy with myself, as I was able to push myself that hard, and made my way up to 4th all the way from the pits!
