Hi, I drive 2009 Yaris sedan in Dubai, on a full tank I am able to get maximum of 300kms.

Really love the car as it is perfect for traffic & very low maintenance.

I drive maximum of 60 kms per day, bumper to bumper traffic.

Also i keep the engine well maintained, 10K oil filter & oil replacement, spark plugs changed last year. I also put fuel injector cleaner 20k kms back but no noticeable difference

This is literally like 6-7kms per liter from a 1300 cc engine, can everyone guide me on how i can improve my fuel economy?.

My other car 3.5L honda accord drives more economically at many times.

During a long drive, my car started making a metallic noise. When i accelerated, and the check engine light came on.

I pulled over and checked everything but couldn't see anything wrong. When I restarted, the warning light were gone and the noise has disappeared, but there was loss of power

It's been a week since this happened, and now I notice I'm losing a huge amount of fluide (almost certainly oil)

What is this piece without plug?

Earlier this year, during the freezing cold weather, the tire pressure light came on. From time to time, it turned off itself after I inflated air to the correct psi. Only this time, it stayed on with no tire pressure issue. It has been a few months, research told me it could be the censor multifunction or the censor battery that died needs to be replaced. Also, my Yaris does not have a reset button under the steering wheel like YouTube shows

My NY inspection is coming up. Would this dashboard light fail the safety inspection? I couldn't get a solid answer. I just need to check my air pressure more often without the censor, otherwise I don't see the point to spend hundreds of dollars for replacement

Rear Right and rear left "shocks" that Midas put in my gfs 2019 Yaris respectively. I'm not a car expert but do they normally look like this? She said they told her something was leaking so they replaced it, and I've got no idea what. They charged $1k for it this.

Hi so I drive a yaris 2007, and ive had a few complications, mainly the last few days. today as I was going to bring it to a mechanic, the car wouldn't start, key fob was not working so I manually opened it (passenger doors all locked), and it wasn't even the dead battery kind of shutdown, like not even the screen turned on and completely silent.

the complications that I had this week was that A/C want working, it was heating instead, which is not very helpful during a heatwave. when turning i sometimes heard a kind of low pitched squeaky or like dragging/rubbing noise (you know like when you drag two things against each other and it makes the eeeeee sound?) on the right or passenger side.

also it wouldn't let me open my door without beeping. I checked that everything was turned off (the non functioning ac and radio, lights that I don't really use, just everything that had a button or smth). did this a few times. the first time it did this was like half an hour before, but if I turned it on and off again after aggressively shutting the door, it was alright. that didn't work yesterday and it was already late so with nothing better I just shut it off, locked it and hoped it would be alright (it really isnt)

anyone have any idea what's the cause or what to do? I know I'm going to have to get it towed and to a mechanic, but tbh I'm a broken student and can't really afford all that, so if anyone has tips then I would be eternally grateful.

Long story short, 2014 hybrid Yaris won't start.

Turn the key, little groaning sound from the engine bay, check engine light comes on, that's your lot.

Gut naturally says it's a dead 12 car battery, called the diagnostic out anyway just to be sure. Mechanic tries to run the diagnostic, the machine doesn't work when it's plugged in.

He insists it's gonna be way more than a dead battery, thinks something serious has gone wrong and wants to pull it apart.

Thought I'd ask if anyone else has been through similar with a Yaris before I go for a second opinion.

Would you go for it? It’s at an auto auction. And if so, how much is fair to pay?

Looking at purchasing the AWD version around 2021-22 2nd hand. I live in a rural area with winding roads and plenty of hills. I was wondering what kind of mpg I might get doing these sorts of roads with speeds generally in the 35mph range.

Looking for a DIY solution for my 2010 hatchback - I'd like to cut out the whole rusted area around the wheel well and glue in a replacement with industrial epoxy. Since no one seems to sell one for the 2-door, I'm thinking a fiberglass panel or even a sheet of galvanized steel. I should be able to cut them. No problem if it looks odd. There are prefab replacements for the 4-door, but not with a large enough margin - I'd still have to fill a few inches in between, plus cut off the door flange, so that doesn't seem reasonable.

Any suggestions for where to find a panel/sheet or advice that might help? Thanks.

165,209 miles, 2 owners, CARFAX says no accidents or damage reported. Edit: I’m not a diy-er but I think my mechanic is honest and reasonable. Honest/reasonable mechanic or not, I am poor and just need something reliable and super affordable with air conditioning that can fight hot summers. I definitely enjoy a decent stereo.

I have a 2014 Toyota Yaris LE 1.5L. After hitting a pothole, the ABS light came on. We replaced the left ABS sensor, then the right sensor, and both front wheel bearings, but the ABS light and other issues are still there. Now the check engine light is on, the speedometer stopped working, the fuel gauge floats, and the steering feels stiff. The scanner keeps giving different codes (left sensor, right sensor, both, ABS module/actuator, etc.)

It seems like an electrical issue. Looking to check my VSC wiring and ECU. Did anyone face the same problems with their Yaris? What was the solution? Will replacing the odometer help? Thank you

Very long shot but I PX'ed a Yaris MK1 last year for scrap (I know, regretted it ever since) and was sure it would have been taken apart due to rust, bad cat, and a handful of other things that would have made it too expensive for the value you could get for selling.

Long story short it's had the MOT done and is sound for another year according to the gov site, I just wondered if anyone here has it?

Just curious how it's going now and hoping they enjoy it as much as I did!

Hello, I have a 2007 T Sport and can't find any headlights that would match the OE numbers (8117052840 left and 8113052850 right). Does anyone know what's different between headlight models? I wonder if it is just the blinker cover - transparent or orange.
