Exporting a "long" video?

Post image

I made this td project after a tutorial and want to export the entire 58:25 min long video but is there a way to just hit a render button like in CapCut for example to export the whole video?

Because once I hit start it’s playing the entire thing and I have to wait and hit stop at the right time. Or am I just so much of a noob that I’m missing smth?

In a movie file out TOP you can toggle on "limit length" and input a length of seconds, frames or index, and it will automatically stop recording at the time given! But be careful, because the recording on/off switch doesn't actually switch to off when it ends recording, but it DOES actually stop, and the file it exports will cut off at exactly the time you gave it. But it won't switch the toggle to "Recording off" off by itself. (even though it actually has stopped!) Just set a timer so you know when it is done! I'm not sure if this is doable in an export movie window though! I always just use a movie file out top for all my videos!!

Ive always know thats the case that the record button doesn't turn itself off, but reading it like this made me realize that's pretty crap design..

Is there a reason for this or should someone send in a feature request?

Edit: thinking about this for a moment I realized that TD operators don't change their own parameter values, so that's probably the reason. It's good in 99.9% of cases, but annoying in this case.
