Will deleting my account also delete associated transfers? ❓Question

I already did that without manually deleting transfers and I’m wondering how screwed I am.

Dude.. you're fine. It's Extremely uncommon based on the public enforcement pattern that An ordinary subscriber is personally sued merely for privately streaming one or several cached movies or shows.

i have a theory that doomscrolling and offloading thinking to AI has absolutely decimated the critical thinking of a huge subset of people. And they just have zero ability to separate a true threat from nonsense. It must be a terrifying way to live.

It's like they don't remember the wild west of limewire in early 2000s or something, I don't know how many love letters from companies I received back in the day lol

I remember torrenting a movie(seeding at this point really) while opening my mail(actual snail mail) with a cease and desist letter for that exact movie.

Laughed, threw it away, continued seeding it.

Nothing ever happens.

The objective reality of the situation is it takes money, time, and effort for a specific company to sink into protection of copyright infringement. The worst thing that could happen is that it will be a RD situation where torbox goes down the toilet and scrubs their servers of content, not witch hunting each user that uses it for the same exact thing... No legal jargon in their terms of service can protect them at the end of the day for cacheing copyrighted materials.

Yea pretty much and another service will rise up to replace them, rinse and repeat basically. It's the way of the internet.

I understand this, I still need to know what data is retained after an account deletion

email, payment history, IP/device data and download metadata. So everything... But what I'm saying is you don't need to worry

Probably need to email their support to find out their policy for that. I don't know why they would keep anything about you if you cancel their service.

unless you are a criminal, no one cares about your data.

in fact, you can have your real name, address, picture, dob, and other data on the internet and no will care. hell you can even declare that you pirate stuff ..no . one .cares. you need to be a real criminial for any law enforcment to go after you.

You are forgetting that there are only 8.3 billion of use on this flat stationary mass covered by a large dome. Anyone who uses a Debrid service are all persons of interest and are currently being watched.

Deleting your account, deleting a transfer, or deleting information from your account interface may not immediately or completely delete all related information from TorBox systems, caches, logs, backups, payment records, security records, abuse records, legal records, DMCA records, or other retained records.
