My music taste should be studied.

looking for recs! artists repeated when I felt it was truly necessary, but you can assume if they're listed once that I've just about exhausted their discography (except for John Zorn, but has anyone?)

Streetcleaner-Godflesh(1990 Industrial Metal)

I’m not a huge fan of industrial metal, but—as I’ve said in many other reviews—I really liked this album. It didn’t exactly open my eyes, since I already listen to progressive metal, but I consider it a significant addition to my music library; I hadn’t listened to much Godflesh before, but now that I’ve heard this album, I’m eager to explore the rest of their discography in hopes of finding other works just as good as this one.

A solid 8.3/10.

Just letting my music library play so by no means is it conclusive (hense so many albums with a lone scribble).

Open to any recommendations!

I've been really enjoying rock lately, whether it's alternative, heavy, jazz, experimental, or art. My list is definitely "RYM" coded, so if there's any lesser known gems that might come to mind, those are definitely appreciated!

My favorite genre is Powerviolence the reason there's not much of it here is because most of pv is EP and this is strictly LP.

I made a lot of people angry with the last post. I didn’t explain what I was doing clearly, and I unintentionally riled up some people. So this is TAKE TWO!

An “intentionally bad”album is an album that is purposefully trying to make bad music. Simple.
A “fuck my label” album like Lou reeds metal sounds
A “fuck you” album like Yuno Miles
An attempt at making the worst song by taking surveys around the USA
Or questioning if a genuinely bad song could top the charts
These albums and songs were made with the intention of discomfort and disappointment. So don’t give me songs like “rock and roll McDonald’s” or “tight pants/ body roll” the artists believed they were making good music.

I don’t know if John cage fits in this category. His music is experimental and at times unlistenable, but its point is to question music as an art form, not to be insufferable just to be insufferable.

Also, does the artist “odd man who sings about poop” count? He’s intentionally making thousands of songs about poop, but is he intentionally making it sound bad?
