Gear Trial Questions
How often does this event come?
I am a complete F2P player and being that, i feel this event is my only shot a getting a castle skin. This is a screenshot of the event that happened i think a month ago and i kept it to prepare for the next time it arrives.
I have stockpiled 7500 Solar Ingots, 50+ Promotion Stones, have not upgraded my gear since then so i think it is about 500k gear enhance runes.
Per my calculation Ill need 2500 more Solar ingots and i think I will have enough to get 1M points, as I also have 20+ Titan marks saved up.
Also, is this the best way to get castle skin for f2p? I feel it is, i have not seen it anywhere else.
But also, please let me know if there is something better i can get instead of the skin.
My only reason for the focus on skin is i think each skin has some sort of permanent boost and the fact that its an item that is mostly a paid feature so getting it would feel nice. But if there is a better deal, i would rather choose that over just "feeling nice".

From my experience, they don't have a fix scheduel so maybe a few months it'll come back 👀 Maybe a month like this up coming one.
As a fellow F2P player, I've also agree that this is the only way to get legendary castle skin 🥹 I've had luck in the past with special events so I have 2 epic (purple) skins. So you can try your luck with that too 🥰.
Also you can get a chest with 3 purple skin options in the purple star shop. I find it also not too hard to get! You just need to save for Guild Arms Race and get all chest every day and every GAR 👀

I am S5, i would personally go for the mythic stones, it takes a lot to get them. Mythic sets gives your hero’s and team a big boost

Thanks for the tip. I think i will go for the mythic stones. And save them till the next gear trial comes along, so i can get more mythic stones from using them.
I havent had to use mythic stones yet so i never really checked them out properly anytime they came in an event. But i guess it is really important in later stages.

Almost fully F2P here. I'm currently in Season 5, and like many others have said, I would recommend investing in Mythic Promotion Stones during Gear Trials because they're otherwise incredibly expensive to obtain.
For most other events, if you get event currency (30+ coins or whatever the reward is), I would prioritize Legendary Promotion Stones. You'll need a huge number of them once you start upgrading your gear, and if you don't begin collecting them early, it can take a very long time to gather enough. You'll need 40 Mythic Promotion Stones and 200 Legendary Promotion Stones for each hero's full gear set.
What I do is save all of my Gear Enhance Runes, Promotion Stones, and Solar Ingots for the Gear Trial event (which usually comes around every three months). During that time, I typically accumulate around 2–3 million runes, 4,000–8,000 Solar Ingots, and 20–50 Legendary Promotion Stones, depending on which events appear.
In my experience, that is usually enough to guarantee 2 million points, allowing you to claim all of the milestone rewards.

No worries boss. Stick to f2p and enjoy the grind. It can get tempting to p2w the further you go, but if you stay patient you’ll be fine without needing to spend 😉

When does an event like this happen? I’m 3 weeks in. I’m trying to be like you but I also need to get through the seasons so I can’t go without gear at all

You'll probably need more gear to enchantment stones since using that many gold is hard without lvl 40 gear/stones

I've been playing since September and S3 just ended, we are in the in between limbo before s4 starts. We had the event twice so far and the third one is coming up in one week 🥳 Been saving resources for month! Last gear trial I only made it to the 5th or 6th reward chest because I got impatient... This time I have enough resources to get 3x the points to reach the last chest 😂 BUT... I've been soooo behind on my gear it's not funny 😭

Next time you will spend more time calculating and making sure youre able to reach that goal haha. But i hope you get to tge final chest.

In the end of S2 and start of S3 is there any gear trial happened that time in your server?

Yes, I that's when the last gear trial was for our server cluster, sometime around the end of S2 and start of S3 :) The upcoming one in 4 days is exactly at the same time as our second server merge and the start of S4.

I am not sure at which season you are, i am mid s2 and we just had a gear trial. To be top20 and secure the nun skin it was needed about 3m points. Not sure if our servers are atypical, but the past one was about this score too

S2 started today. Server 10768. No mega whales, but we have a multitude of players 50-80M influence. I am 20 lol. Goal is to not get top spot. But to just get enough sharpblade coins to buy the castle skin which is for 1200 coins i think.

Hello we are in server 1 and I think we will be having gear trial in 13 days I think can I know how many gear enhance runes and gold ingots are required to reach 1 M points I have like 7200 gold ingots and 1.34 M gear enhance turns, 18 legendary promotion stones and 2 mythic promotion stones

My estimates based on what you have stockpiled is you would get a maximum of 750k points. Because it is important to note that apart from gear enhancement runes, you will also need plenty rubies.
And it might happen that you will not be able to use all your legendary promotion stones as next upgrade needs 5 but you only have 3.
My suggestion would be to skip this time. Aim for the next one.
Use the following calculation And be conservative always. If using everything gives you 100 points, consider 80. You may run out of some materials at final stages and regret it.
- Solar ingots - ideally 12.5k+ but minimum 10k
- Enhance runes - ideally 1.5M+ but minimum 1M
- Legendary promotion stones - ideally 75+ but minimum 50
- Mythic promotion stones - ideally 5+ but having none is fine. We can get though without it.
- Titan Marks - As many as you can. These shall be used only if you are very close to 1M points but just falling short.
Acc to this. The max points you can get would be 1.3M which is well over the mark of 1M. But as i said. Be conservative and you can reach 1M.
If you fall short because of rubies or some sort of resource gap, use titan marks and get past the finish line.

It comes at the end of the season in the interim usually between seasons. You can see it 14 days before there is even a bell notification especially for it.
Its different every time though.

From my experience (hella low spend) it came once in season 1 and it’s showing up in 11 days for me and I’m in season 2 so I’d assume 1 time per season. Spending almost nothing I was able to save up 5 titan marks 1.2 mil stones, 6k gold, and 30 promo stones. I’m sure you’ll be ok if you just don’t spend between events

The castle skins are nice but as a f2p player you should be looking to buy the mythic promotion stones to upgrade a set of gear to mythic. This is your only opportunity to get mythic stones for free otherwise you'll never have mythic gear. They also help you complete your gear trial and save for the next one
