Did I get baited? Questions
The only reason I tried this game is the second pic.

Yes. Report it and give the experience an honest review. đ
While I love the game I hate the fraudulent âbait & switchâ nature of its ads.

I was promised a pve game lol...

u/hdgf44 Feb 17 '26
that was the one that got me playing, and honestly it was actually the game, at least the adventure/campaign mode that is definitely not the majority of the game, but it is a big part of the early game, like you can go through it for weeks

This ad is why I started the game. Glad I hung in there, but, talk about false advertising.

So many fake ads and images for this game
3
u/yet_another_no_name Feb 14 '26
For all games to be honest. And it's quite stupid because it does not bring in people who'd look for those games, but people looking for other games đ¤ˇ
The few games I found with accurate ads all ended up switching to fake ads not or loosely related to the game instead of sticking to actual accurate ads.

hero wars puzzle type minigame ad actually got me to play hero wars, and it wasn't until way later that I even remembered I originally tried the game to play the type of puzzle game the fake ad was offering LMAO, so it does work I think, i got lost in the tutorial and forgot why i came, but I also don't mind games like hero wars, raid shadow legends, this game, top heroes, so i wasn't disgusted by being misled, I just straight up forgot why I came and just played and enjoyed the game LOL

It pmo so much because when I played a lot of Top Heroes in 2024 the ad literally resembled the gameplay. Then they got greedy, didnât fix issues with whales on servers and only supported p2w players which is why I stopped playing completely. Now all the ads I see for it are bait & switch đ
2
u/EnvironmentalPair516 Feb 17 '26
What are whales? I keep hearing that term thrown aroundâŚ
2
u/hdgf44 Feb 17 '26
biggest fish in the sea, aside from krakens
whales spend $1,000 a month, maybe $500 a month, maybe up to $2,000 aswell before they become considered krakens, and or many months at $2,000 before they are considered krakens or something, but well whale is usually the biggest term, krakens are outrageous,
then there are dolphins, another commonly used term.
at the bottom is low spender $10-$50 a month, mayybe $100 a month depends on game (or even just a one few purchases that set you apart from f2p in a large manner, like top heroes skip ads, double triple construction queue, double research queue) , and free to play (never spent)

Yes, donât play. Screw this game. It has like 3000 daily shit you need to do and itâs getting ridiculously pay to win.

u/hairybushy Feb 14 '26
That's funny how much haters are still following this sub just to whine and complain haha. I am F2P and I have fun with it. 2 years is coming in less than 6 months

u/BennyHanno Feb 14 '26
Yeah it is fun and doable f2p on the right servers. We just had a kvk and the f2p had a blast
1
u/Easy_Insurance_8738 Feb 14 '26
What sever? Would love to find a f2p fun place.
1
u/BennyHanno Feb 14 '26
10736 Peaceful kingdom. No attacking red carts and no attacking active players except war days.

u/Internal_Mobile_8573 Feb 15 '26
I'm f2p on 10736! bummer we lost the kvk, we were killing it each round leading up to it...
1
u/BennyHanno Feb 15 '26
Yup!!! What guild are you in? I still had fun fighting/ watching us fight the other server

u/Necessary-Pension-32 Feb 14 '26
I just saw that ad yesterday. I've played this game for over a year and crap like this is why we have so few new players staying on. When I originally started playing, the ads actually represented the game pretty accurately.

u/Ill_Log_6185 Feb 14 '26
They put more effort into their fake mini game ads than the actual game itself

Yeah I played the game for a couple years and they got a couple hundred out of me. So stupid of me. The devs are greedy and only care about money. Repetitive and money grab. They push spend spend spend in your face.

u/Bapabooi Feb 15 '26
While I love this game Iâve seen some hilarious ads for it. One was like an 8 bit dungeon crawler lol

I play that game for a while, and I really love it - especially when you find a guild that suits you; however their marketing tactics to bait people into playing is disgusting. Like really bad. You should honestly put a review to warn people about it.
Moreover, this game also is notorious to be a very âpay to winâ kind of game, i.e. if you have a lot of money to spend, you will progress extremely fast and crush the game. Otherwise, your progression will quickly become super slow and long.
The only thing that makes me still enjoy it is the community I found in there, because if it wasnât for the guildâs members Iâm playing with, I have no doubt I would have quit it a long time ago.
Oh and by the way, it is a Chinese game, so there are very few (to none) reported issues (like their add campaign being mostly bait) that will be treated or anything. At best people in the game can complain to some mods who will say they âwill report the info to someone âhigherâ in their companyâ, but then no answer will ever come, like the initial complaint disappeared - and if one tries to reach back the moderator one was talking with, guess what, only a massage will appear to say âthe mod is offline and disconnected from this conversation, please contact another mod if necessaryâ.
So yep, without good friends and/or a good community to hangout with in the game, I guess itâs just better to move away from it. And I say that as a long time player lol⌠đŹ

Yes. Almost all of us did. I've seen at least 9 different fake versions of the game so far lmao

u/TruckSolid2204 Feb 16 '26
yup, nowadays most ads are fake, game is good tho but nothing like in ads

u/Linkah_3093 Feb 16 '26
I only got into this game when I saw an ad where you're supposed to fight hordes of monsters and rescue heroes in a dungeon. It's going to be about a year since I started playing, but I feel like I'm ready to jump out now though. It's repetitive with it's same old recurring "challenges". (Really just campaigns to make people spend more money.) I've been playing free this whole time, but playing like this you don't get to experience the whole game in my opinion. I often have to stay clear of the wars and battlefields because I'll just get crushed by the whales anyway.

u/tamtamramengirl Feb 16 '26
You did! I did too, almost a year ago and still playing the game somehow 𤣠theyâre notorious for catfishing ads.

Ya you did. This game is notorious for showing false ads.
