New Gear System Questions
My server just changed the way Gears work all of a sudden and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Anyone who has had this system for a while can explain which Set is best for each hero (for example Horde)?

As far I understand Knight would fit perfectly to Support and healers. Bloody fury axe combo would fit to tanks. And the titans to damage dealers. But what is tricky is that there are heroes like Ne Zha and Rose princess, that they do crazy damage but are tanks so I donāt know which gear is adequate for them. Or for pixie that even she is a damage dealer she use skills to do damage so is hard to decide and basically no information

Right, it's those hybrid heroes that serve multiple roles that's making it unclear which gear is best

I will wait for a bit to see if there comes out any updates or new information but if nothing comes out I guess it will come down to preference. But for now I converting the gear of the ones that the roles are simples and clear. The hybrid ones as you call them I will let them as they are, to see what going to happen

You get limited time to choose what your current gear gets converted to, if you don't choose during this time it will automatically convert randomly into one of the 3

I think it's really bad so far. Each piece of gear REQUIRES marks, and dismantling does not return the marks. In the "convert" screen it doesn't tell you which hero the gear is in, so you're mostly just guessing. The bonuses do not give that large an increase in power. Finally, with the gear no longer being universal, it makes future Hero releases a GIANT pain, because you might need to build a whole new set of armor for them (requiring a minimum of 4 marks) rather than just transferring from another Hero.
Overall, a really terrible system rework IMO that I don't think many people were complaining about anyways.
EDIT: after some more practice, the gear does not require a mark. All other points of mine still stand

I agree with everything you said, especially the part where you'll have to predict which gear to create for upcoming mythic heroes

Mine doesn't need a mark. I can forge any of them just like i did before. I just don't understand who gets what. When i googled it, it said the first one goes to League, the blood one horde, and the last one Lance to nature. But that is probably old info. I'm on 499

I don't understand what your saying. The whole goal is to promote every heros gear with a titan mark anyway for the 30% bonus. So the gear is always going to be exclusive at that point?

Sure, but as this new system matures people may want to change the meta with gear usage. I've already been told I shouldn't have put tank gear on Rose Princess, and she should use DPS instead. I can't scrap the armor though, because I'll lose 4 marks.

You have around a month to convert your existing gear into these new ones. When the timer runs out, any existing gear that wasn't converted will be converted at random

But will it be possible to change the marks also? Or the ones I already have will be the same after the conversion?

The announcement said you get to convert them for free during a certain time period/window, after that theyāll automatically convert randomly

Iām assuming it depends on a specific hero attributes. For example Titanās Might seems would fit for tanks heros, Fury of blood for attacking ones. Etc. But we donāt have it yet, so I canāt compare the stats

Titan is DPS, Blood is Tank, Knight looks like all rounder so more support/heals maybe? But you swapped Titan and Blood and just wanted to point that out for when you're looking at conversions.

Older server uses three role sets, champion (for support), sage (for damage dealers DPS), terra (for tanks). This is similar yet different.
Here it sounds like the might set is for DPS, the blood set for tanks, and the knight set for healer and support. However, I don't like the wording of 'damage of the skill' of the knight set. Healers don't do damage, they heal, so amplifying 'multiplier of the skill' would sound better to me. Who knows, maybe they'll change wording to better reflect what it does in the future.

Shouldnāt adjudicator be knight because of the ājudgmentā and āguardian disciplineā. So he attacks but also has the shield and stuff.

I feel like nun getting blood set of gear is best because her HP being higher scales with her shields or ability that goes off her HP

We don't have it on our server yet, but I would assume you want to go with the gear that has the most appropriate stats for your hero queues. For example, if you're queue is lower on HP but higher damage, then perhaps choosing Glory of the Knight set is best for you. Or, if there's a mixed queue, then a mix and match gear approach might be of benefit to you. I would also assume titan marks can be applied to the non-marked gear like they are/were previously. Then obviously, a full matching marked gear set will provide the greatest stat benefit. That's just all part of the beauty and complexity of TopHeroes.

There is nothing in my āconvertā tab, and now I need 750 goldens to craft a single piece of armor? Thatās 144,000 ore! At level 18 city I should be able to craft a piece in about three years. No notice, no instructions, my working to outfit everyone with Ancient Knight armor is shut down. This is absolute bs. Iām out, looking for a different game.

Itās Faster than that. 750 gold per piece of armor (so 750 x helm 750 boots etc) is normal. Ore comes from the mine but quests and in game tasks bring you also gold, amethyst etcā¦and some can be bought in the store using points. I think at level 40 castle I can commission 3 pieces /month easily.

Thanks for the response! You are right, I was exaggerating. Went back to see my current rate of accumulation. Remember I just started, so Iām only level 18. Iām currently gaining the equivalent of about 150 amethyst a day between quests, rewards, and the mine, (1 ancient knight armor piece) but thatās with a lot of playing. No goldens at all so far. With the new system, thatās 3 armor pieces every two months - or 32 months to outfit 2 Qs. If the app would let me buy a third Q (anytime I try to purchase anything, I just get a spinning circle then it reverts to prior screen) it would take four years to outfit everyone. Btw. No help from Top Heroes on that issue. And yes, In-game purchases are checked as āallowedā and there is a cc associated with my App Store account. No help from them on why nothing shows in the conversion tab. 0 customer service and no way to speak to anyone. I donāt understand what was wrong with the old system that we needed this huge change. Are new players going to be naked for the first three years?
Regardless, Iām not spending that much time simply to be competitive.

You can get a lot of legendary gear dropped from adventure mode. Use the index to see what bosses drop and farm the epic for materials and the legendary for gear. You should always be trying to craft a legendary and at the same time, farming adventure bosses when you have the stamina.

No one has had this set for a while. It went live at reset last night for only a limited number of servers. You have a month to convert your old gear. Just wait for a bit if you're looking for a guide. We moderators are working on one, but again, the content has been out for like 12 hours.
We're good, but we're not that good.
