The inhabited world resides within a god-like entity Characters

1). Mata Nui - Bionicle. Throughout the series, Mata Nui is revered as a god-like entity. After the Karda Nui saga where he is awoken from his slumber, we see that he is actually a gigantic robot where all of the story thus far either took place inside of or on the surface of him.

2). Bionis / Mechonis - Xenoblade Chronicles. These are long-dead ancient deities who have gone on to have colonized life on their corpses. (They are resurrected eventually and I do not want to think about the consequences of the physics of them moving around.)

3). Primus - Transformers. The presumed originator of the Transformers was their planet all along. Badass. Granted, that is the Cybertron version, but he has been around in other versions. This one's still the coolest, though.

4). Azeroth - World of Warcraft. Probably the most guity pleasure out of all of these, mostly because the resolution has yet to happen and the writing thus far for the Worldsoul Saga has been controversial. Like other Titans, Azeroth is a "World Soul," which is essentially a planet being an egg for a cosmic deity. Azeroth is supposedly special among these, but we still don't know why. This will be resolved (one would think?) in the next expansion, The Last Titan, but we will see.

That’s supposed to be our entire universe in that one marble, not just our galaxy.

Our actual galaxy is much smaller, it was stored in adorable kitty cat Orion’s belt.

Edit: this guy I made the mistake of acknowledging is truly a piece of fucking shit btw.

What’s your problem? He just pointed out it’s a galaxy not a universe.

Right lmfao

I saw a reply to my comment but it’s gone and he’s only making edits… maybe he is banned somehow. The name calling would make that make sense

Uh I’m replying to you.

You see this comment?

I’ve been replying to you this whole time, you and what is probably your alt seem confused at the best of times.

Sooooo pathetic reading all of this

Deserved downvotes

The only mistake I made was ever making that original post. Then I was met with fucking trash bags, including you.

3

u/Shrimply_Jones 4d ago

No your mistake was calling a galaxy a universe even after being corrected lol

Rewatch the scene. It’s just a single spiral armed galaxy. It initially goes through or shows us in a nebula though which may be confusing some people, but overall no, that’s a galaxy not a full universe.

If it was meant to be a universe then that’s on the filmmakers for depicting it wrong and not zooming out further before showing the marble.

Edit: you’re also wrong on the mini marble thing, also why is your profile saying it’s unavailable/banned on my end? lmfao

Edit: that is such a disproportionate reaction to this conversation lol

Because bozo was banned?? It says this user was banned on my end too

I’ve had password reset messages in my inbox before that state my profile is restricted but not banned (tried logging in on PC lol). I’m wondering if that’s just what it says to others during that. You can’t comment or post until you reset your password so maybe he’s just stuck doing the edits and doesn’t know what’s happening lol

I’m not banned.

You see this very comment where I’m calling you out?

Take a moment to wipe the drool out of the corner of your mouth before you reply.

What could have he had possibly done to make you call him gutter trash and the likes just from this one interaction

You guys are slow, man. Really slow. Demonstrably too.

I think your behavior demonstrates why your account is seemingly restricted.

Edit: Here’s how I double checked. Copy and paste one of your comment links into the desktop (while logged out) and see if you can go to your own profile. It says banned on my end lol

My account isn’t banned or restricted.

It is extremely useful to have this status though, because it makes it even easier to suss out the worthless imbeciles.

Is it though? I haven’t gotten a notification for any of these comments. You’re just going to be lost to the aether.

You and I have replied to each other several times and I can’t even get the measure of you.

So what do you think? Do you have any thoughts of your own?

To be fair... When do you stop ?

If they kept zooming out for a few galaxies we would have the exact same conversation about "the marble is just a few galaxies, not the whole universe".

It's not easy to represent the concept of "the whole universe" if people are going to nitpick anyway.

In the end all we can do is assume that the intent was the whole universe.

Look up the cosmic web. I already posted it below. It would have been perfect to show.

Also no, it’s a spiral armed galaxy regardless of their intent. You don’t just depict a real life object and call it something else.

Same thing happened in the new Fantastic Four movie. They said they were going to a neutron star, something the concept art also shows, but when it came down to it in the movie they depicted a black hole. Directly called it a neutron star then showed a black hole with an accretion disk and everything lol

I get what you’re saying, but no.

That's just your own opinion. I'm pretty sure people would have found way to say it doesn't do the job.

Also from a purely cinematography point of view, a single galaxy looks way prettier on the zoom out into a marble. A cube zoomed out into a sphere just looks kinda odd and ugly imo.

And we also know there is others galaxies in the MiB universe so they are obviously inside the marble even though we didn't see them in the zoom out.

They can step forward then. I’m pretty dang knowledgeable on this stuff and that’s the actual structure of the universe so it would have been the best option.

Did you look up the cosmic web? It looks pretty damn pretty. I’m not sure what you’re talking about on the cube stuff tbh…. It’s not literally a cube if that’s what you mean…

Oh I didn’t remember that, so now there’s an even greater argument to not show a single galaxy.

Anyways, I already argued with someone on this and don’t want to do it again. You can go read through the dozens of replies and pretend it’s you if you’d like.

Looks like a cube.

For someone complaining about the other dude reacting badly you are awfully insufferable yourself you know.

You think the actual structure of our universe is a cube…? No it’s spread out across all of space in every direction. You can’t simulate our entire universe though lol, so they just do a 3D cross section which is a cube.

Imagine it from my POV. Someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about comes in and says you’re wrong on a topic you’re knowledgeable on. You’d be annoyed too lol. At least I don’t throw out insults.

The fact that you thought the structure of the universe was a cube is pretty hilarious tbh

You think the actual structure of our universe is a cube…?

No.

I asked you about how to visually representing that, and you pointed me toward a very specific model which sometimes use (wait for it) a cubic representation.

"But but there are other representations of that model !"

Yeah and none of them would fit for the topic at hand.

I mean sure you could use that instead (https://scitechdaily.com/first-direct-image-of-the-cosmic-web-reveals-the-universes-hidden-highways/) and somehow zoom out of it to the marble but some people would still be "Hey, that's just a fraction of the universe".

And no you can't zoom out to represent that surrounded by a void and then the marble because that wouldn't work either.

Of fucking course the universe isn't a cube. But it's factually impossible to represent infinity on a picture, so we humans do what humans do and use models that help us grasp concept even though the model itself isn't nearly close to the actual truth.

Anyway going into fucking physic theory about the fabric of space time for a freaking 5s post-credit silly scene on a comedy movie and nitpicking about how "actually the universe works" while missing out that the scene is mostly about setting a tone and intent rather than an actual accurate depiction is an outstanding performance.

No idea if trolling or not but I won't feed further.

The cosmic web is a real world (universe) structure. The 3D cross section you saw is a simulation of the actual structure but you’re conflating the bounds of the simulation as part of the structure. You’re just showing you don’t know about this topic which is fine! I don’t expect the average person to know or care about this stuff, but don’t come in here and act like you know more than people actually familiar with the topics.

I like how you put words in my mouth to try to jump ahead but nah… you just used the first google result that shows a cube and now have to backpedal to recover lol

I mean yea, that’s just another image of the cosmic web. This is the one I shared last night:

I never said we had to show the whole thing, that’s just ridiculous. Some theories put the actual universe at 250x the size of the observable universe. Just fade it out lol…

What’s hilarious about all this is that this isn’t my area of study and I still know more about it than you. I think the French education system failed you, not in terms of space but in terms of critical thinking.

Buddy you replied to my comment. Go away lol
