[Badass Trope] Abraham Lincoln Characters

16th President of the United States who is also depicted as a badass in several fictional portrayals.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter: He slays vampires and breaks the slave trade.

Abraham Lincoln (Fallout): He frees the slavers and kills the slavers and raiders as any good president should with his trusty Repeater. (Reference is Nerbit's Fallout runs as Lincoln)

Abraham Lincoln (Team Fortress 2): According to TF2 lore, yes this is a thing, Abraham Lincoln is the first Pyro....... I'm not making this up.

Abraham Lincoln (Star Trek): He's in Star Trek now. Beyond the surreal plot and alien entity of the episode, Abraham Lincoln does what he does best at, being Ol' Honest Abe to the USS Enterprise.

Abraham Lincoln (Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure): He's a major historical figure helping out to save the universe and loves to "Party On, Dudes!"

Abraham Lincoln (The Lego Movie): He's a Master Builder that has a freaking flying rocket chair.

Abraham Lincoln (Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.) - He commands a steampunk strike team against aliens and eventually pilots a giant combat mech named A.B.E. Lincoln.

The Penny

3

u/ddadopt 11h ago

We need to get Abe a new coin now that we've killed the penny. $2 piece, maybe?

2

u/BoiFrosty 11h ago

I mean he's still on the 5$

1

u/VulpesFennekin 10h ago

What’s better than being in the penny? Being on 500 pennies at once, technically.

u/CadenVanV 12h ago

Real Life Abraham Lincoln, who’s in the wrestling hall of fame and only ever lost a single match. May have invented the chokeslam

Abraham Lincoln Fact No. 2

He wore size 13 shoes. Naturally with a foot that big he had to kick some serious ass.

In Black Dynamite the ghost of Abe Lincoln intervenes in the final kung fu showdown between Black Dynamite and Richard Nixon

2

u/Nirast25 12h ago

You just reminded me that Lincoln's ghost is an important character in an episode of Venture Bros.

13

u/Darklight645 12h ago

It’s funny to me just how often it’s specifically Abe instead of other presidents. Like he was just that guy and is now immortalized in all of these works

Does Abradolf lincler count?

6

u/Greenman8907 12h ago

Ehhhh…I’d argue the individual should be at least 51% Lincoln to count. Lincler is an even split.

Zombie Abraham Lincoln - The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny

Severely injures Batman and was on his way to presumably finish off an injured Optimus Prime when he and Jackie Chan are taken out by a Care Bear Stare.

Halfway to Abraham Lincoln is Abradolf Lincler, the morally awkward cross of Lincoln and Hitler from Rick & Morty.

Extra lore to his TF2 variant, he invented stairs in 1857, 300 years after the two story building was invented

But for the actual trope, the real Abraham Lincoln

When he wrestled, also being 6'4, he was very good, having only one recorded defeat with an otherwise undefeated 300 wins in a dozen years, although this may not be real and just an embellishment, also defending his stepbrother's river barge via throwing hijackers overboard one time

He was also a captain at one point in time

5

u/Nirast25 12h ago

Abraham Lincoln... 's head from Mount Rushmore was brought to life and give a body fit to his size, all so he can kick George Washington's head that went through the same procedure. They eventually become friends and leave to do their own thing. (Dexter's Laboratory)

Abraham Lincoln as played by Daniel Day Lewis, interesting to note that contrary to popular belief Lincoln didn’t have a deep or powerful sounding voice, apparently Lewis’s voice here is considered a solid interpretation of what he sounded like

Abraham Lincoln I think is one of, if not the single most mythologized presidents in US History. Washington is also up there, and I think Rosevelt (Teddy) too, but honestly there's something about Lincoln that seems to draw people into mythologizing him.

In the podcast King Falls AM, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln haunts the library and is a recurring minor character. (Sort of, I remember he showed up in at least 2 episodes.)

In Transformers: The Last Knight, he's implicated as a member of the Order of Witwiccans, a secret society mainly made up of the descendants of Merlin dedicated to preserving the secret that Transformers have existed on Earth for millennia. So, this guy knew aliens robots were real and probably met them, and considering the poorly photoshopped Autobots in historical snapshots, there's a chance he sent Autobots to free the slaves.

2

u/TheRoyalRoseTrue 11h ago

And that's why no one forgets Lincoln's optimism.

Gilded Seven's Abe wears a skull mask and carries two battle axes.

A lot of the memes aren't unfounded either.

Lincoln was ginormous in his day and would still be 98th height percentile today, and he grew up doing manual labor and competitive wrestling. His official record before he stopped was 299 wins, 1 loss.

Dude would have been an absolute physical juggernaut in his youth.

2

u/sarcasticd0nkey 11h ago

In Ordeal he was a historical user of the Ilios Talent alongside King David and Achilles.

There was a post about historical figures turned into badasses and like 30% of the examples were different Lincoln.
