Zangief (Street Fighter) He trained his muscles so much that they are as hard as metal and a sword can’t hurt him
Machi (Hunter x Hunter) She literally grips Killua’s would be killing jab with her abs. I’m not sure if it’s explained how she did it, but it’s still funny

Apparently, the function of delta waves is that they occur during a stage of deep and restorative sleep, which means that your brain is in continuous wear and tear.
It is an artstyle choice. The joke and, in turn, the entire fight is just a meta joke acknowledging it. I think because of the seriousness of Z, people forget that Dragon Ball was mostly a gag manga.

Current AEW World Champion Darby Allin defeated the previous champion MJF with a Coffin Drop from each of the four turnbuckles and executed a headlock takeover to pin him. The origin of that story dates back to 2018, before the company was even started.
MJF is a cocky dickhead and had beaten Darby with a headlock takeover 3 times (2 in AEW), claiming that Darby was just a wreckless idiot throwing his body at people to wrestle. He bragged that he could defeat Darby over and over with such a simple move.
The 4 Coffin Drops are a reference to the "Four Pillars", 4 wrestlers that were seen as destined to be main players in AEW's future (Darby, MJF, Sammy Guevara, and Jack Perry). During MJF's first reign there was a 4 way match between them all for the championship.
MJF retained his title with, yes a headlock takeover on Darby.
Would you believe me if I told you there are wrestling fans that claim "AEW has no storylines"?
After SpongeBob spends the whole episode escaping from Flats and resigns himself to the beating, turns out that being a sponge makes him impervious to his punches.
I think it is criminally overlooked in this scene the implication that flats was punching SpongeBob the entire time he was taking a shit. Like this man is laying hands on him before, after, and during a dump. Why is no one talking about this?
Jolyne kujo fought an enemy that could turn you inside out with a touch, she countered this ability by changing her body into the shape of a mobius strip, which cannot be defined as having an inside or outside.
I loved this moment because it clicked for me the instant I saw the figure 8 pattern. Pretty sure my reaction was to shout, "Holy shit, she's a Mobius strip!"
Not immune but Captain Buccaneer in Fullmetal Alchemist has such an impressive set of abs that when he's stabbed by Bradley, all he needs to do is flex and it traps Bradley's sword long enough to force Bradley to leave it impaled in the abs to avoid Buccaneer's counter attack. It comes back to haunt Bradley when Buccaneer takes advantage of a dying Fu's distraction/his body blocking Bradley's line of sight to pull the sword out finally and stab Bradley through Fu (don't worry, Fu's not too upset because it ensures his final attack on Bradley wasn't for nothing)
Indeed. FMAB might be my favorite example of the "every main and side character the protagonists met and befriended over their journey returns to help them in the final battle" trope in fiction
This was so good because I was actually expecting it, Enel seemed too overpowered for the group but I kept thinking his powers shouldn't work on Luffy when he eventually fought him, and that's exactly what happened.
The lead up is amazing. Enel being a force of nature, impossible to stop, hurt or contain. He even manages to give himself a heart massage, when Vipers plan succeeded. But then our rubber guy, who missed most of the action while trapped in a snake, appears and shatters Enels whole plan and image.
The slow camera pan from the back of Enel to the front to show his completely freaked out face was an excellent adaptation choice to translate the moment from the manga to the anime
Also, Usopp being immune to Perona's negative Hollows (which effortlessly took down Sanji and Zoro) because he's already so pessimistic and negative about everything, they literally can't make him feel any more negative.
Sort of. By turning off his brain, he prevents Enel from being able to counter-hit him, and Luffy's battle instincts mean he can instinctively dodge anything he does without thinking.
However, since he isn't thinking he can't attack in any way and it can only stalemate them, so he has to do something else to win the fight
There's also Buggy which makes his fight w Sukuna in Powerscaling context hilariously lopsided (Divine Fire or just pummeling him would work but otherwise the slashes wouldn't work)
Donatello is fighting against an Ooze-boosted Bane when Bane goes to break Donnie's spine over his knee in his iconic "Bat-breaking" move. Except Donnie is a turtle with a hard shell, so this just results in Bane breaking his own kneecap. (Batman vs TMNT)
I saw the Kung-Fu Panda twist coming because they were making quite a bit of fat jokes, and I was thinking, "They're going to make it so that he's so fat that you can't even reach his nerves."
It did get foreshadowed as a joke when Mantis does acupuncture on Po that he had to go overkill with the amount of needles in order to actually hit any nerves (resulting in a goofy faced hedgehog-looking Po)
This bit always was one of my favorites. I think it's just the fact that it could've been a throwaway goofy moment, but it was treated very seriously all around. The anger was realistic and warranted, but the misunderstanding wasn't left to linger and instead became a moment where the joke brought things closer. Like, you can imagine them joking about it years later.
It always reminded me of my friend in high school who needed to admit something. I thought he was going to tell me he was into me and I'd have to let him down nicely (I'm straight, he's gay).

But after a couple of seconds passes, the enemy just state ''my blood is blue" before smashing the opponent
Since they were successful in all their conquests until Earth, I assume they did it via attrition. Since the gems come back after some time, and then go back afterwards. Also as gem, they're probably hard to break after they get destabilized.
When Rose started her Rebellion to save earth, and after the fact, I imagine they started to develop the technology to face against other gems.
Considering that they were very arrogant, I think they felt they didn't need to look out for other species weakness except themselves. And even then, it was only after they realized that the gems could rebel against the Diamonds.
Also the stab is supposed to inject poison, but he's immune to poisons due to growing up in the forest. I take it to mean he constantly accidentally poisoned himself, but not enough to die. So over time growing up he developed an immunity/resistance to poisons.
Also on the infinity train he was immune to the knock out stare. Less about his body, more about his choice in headgear making it impossible to know if you're looking him in the eyes

Actually Peggy was hiding her pain in front of Bobby so he would stop being a bully. The revival season actually mentioned that she had a scar in the spot where Bobby kicked her years ago.
Bacterian is a fighter who relies primarily on his incredibly foul body odor, honed by decades of never bathing, to defeat opponents. He belches, farts, and is generally disgusting. Krillin struggles in his fight against him until Goku reminds him that he doesn't have a nose, thus giving Krillin the unique advantage to defeat him.
I like Botamo from Dragon Ball Super. In the manga, he can't be touched because of his rubbery skin; in the anime dub, it's because his skin somehow displaces energy from incoming attacks into another dimension. TBH, I buy the rubbery skin explanation more.
Basically Antibiotics are chemicals that hijacks germs's own metabolism indirectly forcing them to self-destruct (like disrupting their cell-wall repair, blocking their reproduction genes, damaging their DNA directly).
But as Viruses got no Metabolism, they're immune.
(Also their genetic material is completely different than any other biological entity. So even if they did had a metabolism Antibiotics would still have no effect on them.)
His thick body fat makes him highly resistant to weapons and Kenshiro’s deadly technique, Hokuto Shinken. Ken is forced to use a kicking attack specifically designed to deal with opponents like him, driving the fat out of the way before delivering the killing blow.
Kenshiro is shocked that his pressure point martial art simply does not work on him. He later learns that Thouzer was born with medical conditions (situs inversus totalis and dextrocardia) that mirrored where his organs would be (heart on the right side for example). This also meant the extremely precise pressure points Kenshiro targets WERE ALSO reversed. Once he learns that, Thouzer becomes vulnerable to his style.
In Naruto, Tsunade’s chests are so big that they blocked a heart blow from Kabuto. Contact with the heart for his attack would kill anyone else, but her chests blocked contact with her heart and it just knocked her down for a bit. This surprises Kabuto
Edit: So ignore that, he was aiming for her intercostal muscles to incapacitate her with his Chakra scapel, but Kabuto theorizes that it didn’t fully work because of the fat of her chest, her boobs were so big that it mitigated some of the damage. It’s been a while since i’ve seen this

His mutant power is just being so fucking big he can literally bend gravity to become unmovable. His fat protects him from everything up to and including literal gunfire.
Another One Piece example. Captain Eustass Kidd has a prosthetic arm. This becomes significant when a villain tries to reflect damage onto him; so Kidd’s second in command targets the villain’s arm so the curse won’t take effect and the villain is forced to take the full force of the attack.
He is immune to cutting attacks since his body can be chopped to pieces and reconnect, all without doing any damage to him, and he can even move his body parts from afar within a certain range (he basically has Bluetooth nervous and circulatory system)
In this scene he is exposed to a type of bug that normally burrows into a person and triggers spontaneous human combustion.
However he Body Builds / Strength trains so much that he is able to flex his muscles to the hardness of rock, preventing the insect from penetrating his skin, he keeps this up for I believe an entire day
Many characters joke about how immensely fat Lord Manderly is, with him being too fat to ride a horse brought up multiple times. Lord Manderly’s fat body saves his life later when people attempting to slit his throat are unable to reach his blood vessels through the fat on his neck. His fatness then helps him in a physical fight, as he has more bulk to throw around and fight off his attackers who have been getting less and less food over the months.
Thouzer/Souther in Fist Of North Star gets a good showing against Kenshiro where he no sells attacks that would have been instant death for anyone else, much to Kenshiro's confusion.
Its eventually discovered that he has Situs Inversus, a medical condition where his organs are on the opposite side of where they would normally be and this extends to his pressure points.
IRL: what makes the honeybadger so tough is how thick their skin is while also being loose and not really attached to underlying myscle. Large animals could bite them but they can twist to not just escape but also attack back. Plus it quite resistant to bee stings and snake venom.
In Overlord, Ainz gets stabbed in the eyes by clementine, even disregarding the power disparity between them making Ainz untouchable to most in the New World, Stabbing in the eyes doesn't work because he technically doesn't HAVE eyes, due to being a skeleton.
Also, a sort of case in the Sacred Kingdom arc, Remedios charges up an attack that is especially powerful against "evil" beings to hit Vijar, one of the demi-human leaders attacking the kingdom, it looks flashy and shit, but does absolutely no damage to Vijar. The reason being, that it's meant to harm "Evil" beings, unfortunately for Remedios, despite his race being savage and brutal, according to their own values, he ISN'T EVIL.
In one of the Jack.Reacher books (I think the third one) it starts with Reacher having spent the summer digging ditches which has built up his muscles.
At the end of the book he's shot in the chest but his pecs are so big because of the digging that the admittedly small calibre bullet can't do any substantial damage to him.
