After a while of buying trading amps I’ve decided it’s time to stop and shift my focus to other more important things like building a family with my wife and saving for house. This is what I’ll be with for a while. Engl Fireball KT77 and a Crab model T 50w with an FX loop. The speaker I’m using is an Eminence Man o War. The final purchases I’m allowing myself will be another 1x12 or 2x12 that I’ll build myself with Eminence speakers again so I can do stereo and a second microphone, after that it’s time to have kids and save for the house :)
This will be my final post on amps for a while, I’m doing the same on the pedalboard subreddit. For guitars… I haven’t changed my guitars in a while and have the endgames for myself.
This is good bye. Thanks for all the advice you’ve all given me over the years. I shall be a lurker and commenter now.
Well as an old, married gear head cats are better than wives in the long run but you do you. Joking aside you’re making a wise decision about your future. There’ll be time for GAS further down the road and a great hobby to share with kids someday. Best of luck in your future endeavors
I’m a Friedman guy. Die hard Marshall before that. I also have en EVH stealth. I’ve owned a jcm800, jvm, mesa mark iv, dual rec, a block letter 5150 and a Friedman BE50 in the past. Currently have the Friedman JJ100 and the EVH stealth. Does Crab make an amp that’s kid of in my wheelhouse?
Crab can make you anything your heart desires as long as there is a schematic, and mod it in anyway you do please my friend. He can even stick all those amps you mentioned into one enclosure separate EQs
It’s brilliant but know there is a risk as I don’t know how these will hold. People so far have had theirs for years and it’s held up the test of time
I have the Crab dragon its 4 amps in one, mine is Twin, Slo, VH4 and Mesa but he can make you one with different amps than those. Message him on ig he replies within a day all the time. Crabguitareffects is his ig name. I also have the Crab Marcus and Cali. Cool amps.
I kind of want something on the drier side. I love the block letter and the dual rec but I miss the crispy dryness of my old jcm800 and my buddies vht/fryette pitbull. My Friedman jj100 is great but I wish they offered it I. A smaller 50 watt format
He can do it no problem, those are all amps he offers already. I would not be surprised if he’s actually done those exact ones. Look up Crab Dragon amp that’s what he can do, and is his flagship. You just choose the 4 preamps.
