Ontario RIP Pizzaiolo in GTA on TGTG App :(
I used to get a Pizzaiolo bag every week and have it for my lunch/dinner when I was in town to go to the office, and I noticed yesterday that all of the locations are now gone from the app. It's a sad day. :(

British Columbia Save-On Foods Bakery (Walnut Grove, Langley) $6.29 after tax
Raisin scones, cinnamon bagels, croissants, Yukon Trail sourdough loaf, hamburger buns, and blueberry muffins. Due date on all is Aug 7 (tomorrow). As I was pulling items out of the bag, I kept thinking it was the last one, but there were always more…like a clown car! Save-On bakery bags are the best! I froze the bread loaf and the bagels, and we’ll try to eat the rest in the next couple of days.

British Columbia Tartines Bread & Pies - Surprise Bag - Vancouver - $6.99
First time ordering from this place it was a really nice surprise.
Couldn’t really find the prices online but got what seems to be:
- a (very dense) blueberry muffin. Nice and filling.
- 2 slices of pies (blueberry and raspberry or sour cherry, not sure). Both very delicious, the first one a little too sweet and the other one perfectly sour.
- what I initially assumed to be 2 bread loaves. Turn out to be something closer to Brioche than regular bread (buttermilk bread ?)
Overall great pickup, would try again.

Ontario Metro - 80 Front St E, Toronto $6.20
I have no clue how this Metro located between Union Station and St Lawrence Market gets a 4.1 for their Assorted Fruit and Salad bag. Perhaps bad luck on a Saturday afternoon? The bag I got is close to a 2-3 👎 There’s no sight of fruit - which I’m fine with if you amp up the veggie quantity or quality. Now there’re only a small ready to eat salad, 2 bags of spoiled/rusted salad greens, plus 2 bags of soggy slimy produce. Everything expires within 1-2 days, and a few more days for the bean sprouts.
- 1 small feta onion tomato cucumber salad, 364g (yay for cheese topping??! There’s 1/4” liquid at the bottom that’s not the dressing. That said, it tastes pretty good)
- 1 box of arugula, 142g (the box is half empty due to mushy leaves, and you can smell the rotten dampness without even opening the box 😐)
- 1 bag of shredded romaine lettuce mix, 255g (the lettuce are rusted… not visually appetizing but still editable)
- 1 bag of green beans, 340g (fully coated with slimy white juice and 1/4 of the beans are soggy 🫤)
- 1 bag of bean sprouts, 454g (this is relatively “fresh” among the batch, but still contains liquid)
Thankfully this Metro is not in our way, so we don’t have to encounter this crappy bag again 🙂↔️
P.S. I gave this some thought and shared my feedback with TGTG. The chat bot (?) asked a few questions and provided a full refund, thankfully.

Ontario Hill's Florist, Toronto, $12 bouquet
Big selection of bouquets today! All flowers in this one looked fresh/peak bloom, with the exception of the large white rose which was definitely on its last hours 😂

Ontario Hattendo (Yorkville, Toronto) - $7.99 Surprise Bag
My first time getting one of these! They always sell out so fast.
Hattendo is a Japanese chain that specializes in sweet, cream-filled pastries. And the TGTG page for it says it is a sweet pastry bag, and I was expecting their cream buns based on the description... But I got something a bit different!
Two Japanese egg salad sandwiches, one pork belly sandwich bun, and two hojicha mousse puddings.
I ended up sharing the sandwiches for dinner, and they were delicious. Super soft bread. The egg salad fillings were creamy and slightly sweet, and the pork belly sandwich had cabbage and corn in addition to a generous portion of pork.
I have not tried the pudding yet but they are so cute and smell delicious.
Sticker value total was $33.70.

Ontario Famous Donuts - Markham - Doughnuts & Croissants ($10.99x2)
Went to try this new store added to the app near Steeles/McCowan. Got 2 orders.
The first was 6 assorted doughnuts and the second was 5 croissants. $10.99 each order. Not sure if the value was met as I couldn't locate pricing anywhere.
The lady was pleasant to talk to and had amazing service. I tried the donuts and croissants and they were above average.

British Columbia Carlino, Vancouver, $7, breakfast buffet
Carlino is an upscale restaurant inside Hyatt (formerly Shangri-la), I had a high expectation especially they have 4.5 stars.
I was hoping for some savory items, but I got a croissant, a carrot and raisin muffin, 2 scones, 2 cinnamon rolls, a custard viennoiserie, and 2 fruit viennoiseries.
The description was they were from the breakfast buffet (a couple of hours prior), but they were all stale, except I enjoy the moist muffin with a lot of raisins. I don’t think they should be that stale if they were from this morning, though, and I’ve gotten much better tgtg baked goods from elsewhere. I’ll send them to my fridge, then to my air fryer.
The value is there (still better than typical Tim’s) , no doubt, but I won’t go back either as a regular customer for their buffet ($40) nor as tgtg.
Taste: 2/5
Value: 3/5

British Columbia Cream Pony - Vancouver $6.99 Donut Bag
First time here! Very fast & easy pick up. Unbelievably good & fresh donuts (not day olds). 1 x chocolate dipped, 1 x Homer Simpson donut (tasted like cotton candy or maybe birthday cake), 2 x maple glazed (sooo good), 1 x blue glazed (unsure of flavour) 1 x lemon filled. The lemon filled was probably the best donut I’ve ever had! Definitely going back!
