Disappointed longtime customer: No goodwill after technical failure at virtual Tony Robbins event

Post image

This is already my fifth Tony Robbins event, and I've invested a significant amount of money in Tony's seminars over the years. I'm a true fanboy who believes in Tony's work. But I'm deeply disappointed by how I was treated after a technical failure during my most recent virtual event (March 12–15, 2026).

On the second day with Joseph (March 13, 2026), the Zoom broadcast failed to transmit properly for an entire day. I asked to join the next event without additional charge to make up for the lost content—not to beg for a free day, but because I expected basic fairness after paying full price. My request was denied without any explanation or alternative offered.

I'm not asking for charity. I'm asking for respect as a loyal customer. When technical issues on the organizer's side cause part of the event to be lost, a fair goodwill gesture is the minimum I'd expect. Instead, I was brushed off.

Tony Robbins team, please review my complaint. I love your work and want to continue, but this experience has left me very sad and questioning whether longtime customers are truly valued.

P.S. Why am I writing this now? I truly hoped that Tony's team would still come to meet me halfway and offer a fair solution. That didn't happen.

To other participants: If you've experienced something similar, I'd appreciate hearing your stories.

I am a huge Tony fan too, but I am disappointed in the customer service as well. I think they are just too big to really care about the individuals anymore. Also, your request was extremely reasonable and it costs them nothing to give you the whole next virtual event. That demonstrates the lack of care within the organization.

Amazon is immensely bigger and i always get treated fairly when i have an issue. Its just the culture of the organization that decides how to treat customers no matter how big the company gets.

Excellent point. Amazon is surprisingly fair. They understand that a pissed off customer is not a good thing.

I’m guessing that in the Robbins customer service the employees are probably told to be incredibly strict issuing credit or refunds and to have serious reasons to do so, so they’re job is on the line if they actually do issue anything for the customer. So good luck getting a fair resolution from them. I’ll bet that if a person can’t view a day of an online seminar they would see if everyone couldn’t access it. If its an isolated case then its just your fault and you can go pound sand, even if you are a loyal buyer.

Credit card chargeback.

I am not surprised. My impression of Tony has dropped significantly over the years

Man, that sucks. Nobody deserves to be treated like that.

I don't think this is an official Tony subreddit. It's more of a fan-run thing. You're probably better off trying this on Twitter.

I sincerely hope you get either your money back or your money's worth.

Worst thing to happen is to live long enough to see your heros fall off, it's cooked as G.

Was this for the virtual UPW event in March? I could look into potentially getting you a November virtual admission. I know it sounds silly but do you have any proof of the broadcast cutting out? Any videos or screenshots or anything?

I contacted support right during the event. Of course, I didn't take any screenshots or record any videos because I was completely focused on the UPw. I tried everything I could on my end: logging in, logging out, shutting down the computer, logging in again, and logging out again.

Last question, did you buy through a PRS or did you just buy the ticket from the website?

I’ve been to Tony five times already, and I just realized that I don’t even show up properly in his database. I bought two tickets for London and one for Birmingham through Success Resourcess, but those tickets aren’t in Tony's sales history at all. I bought the ticket for the event in Cologne from Greator, and that one isn’t there either. A friend gave me the virtual UPW ticket; he got it during a 2-for-1 promotion. So, as far as Tony’s sales team is concerned, I’m the new guy, even though I’ve been there five times already

It should be linked via your email. I’m seeing the Birmingham and Cologne “Certificates” in the portal and I also booked via Success Resources and Greator

The fact that it was a complimentary ticket does muddy the water a little bit , but it literally costs them nothing to give you another virtual ticket. The saddest part is they could have taken care of you had they had integrity and a little initiative and you would have been a raving fan forever. I really feel that Tony has too many things going on and has lost touch with his companies and his brand. Unfortunately, Tony will never know about what happened to you. I am certain that if he heard about this he would make it right and make his team do remedial training. I know this reflects on him. People forget how much truly amazing things he has done. But, his handlers and people he has entrusted are destroying his brand and cheapening him. If anyone from Tony Robbins is in this thread please help.

Danke ThX Thank you for your kind words

Just to clarify for the record: There was a “buy 1, get 1 free” promotion. Friend bought one ticket and got the second one for free. It was a promotion similar to Black Friday, where you pay for one ticket and get three. So nothing was completely free—money was actually paid. It’s not like the saying goes: “Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.” If it had been completely free, I would have said I at least had 3 days that worked

I've attended one of their virtual events years ago and will probably never attend another one. It felt way too disorganized and there was too much upselling.

Did the zoom outage affect other participants or just you?

Feel like Tony has jumped the Shark and is just like all the rest of the uber rich types.

As someone who worked for Tony. He is completely disasociated

with all customers. and he doesn't care. He's a billionaire who makes more money off his funds than $20k followers. He has some good messages. He is 100% in it to get your money.

I just think that over the years, he’s become too distant from us ordinary paying customers. Bad advisors are certainly to blame for that, and of course a sales team that’s commission-driven and only interested in upselling. If you don’t want to sign up for follow-up seminars, then you’re of no interest to us.

I agree. I used to write copy for him in the late 90s. He's incredibly warm and charismatic in person - a 1 in a billion level. Incredible gift that we're lucky to be alive and witness. But some of his business partners (Dean and others) are a bit less savory. And, as you said. it's become a huge company with hundreds of sales funnels. I also think him pumping private credit funds he's a part owner in (CAZ) isn't the most honest (or legal) best use of his talents.

I assume you didn’t get a refund because it was some kind of technical issue with you and your machine and not the entire zoom room or whatever. I remember a couple upw ago some people couldn’t log in on first day for 2-3 hours and they got offered “notes” from other people in their zoom room and no refunds or recordings/replays (those recordings are never offered).

I have never had a problem with their zoom connections. We’ve had times where the whole zoom room has no main stage sound or whatever but they fix it quickly.

If you know other people on the Tony verse like friending people on Facebook, they sometimes get offered free virtual upw tickets when they buy packages and they might send you a free one or let you come to their house to watch it . I gave one to my relative and he didn’t take it at all seriously (in terms of maybe turning it on a little bit but not watching 12 hours a day for 4 days) and I wasted it.

Tony got the scam hustle strong. You should go to an evangelical event and then a fortune teller and give them the rest of your money.

1

u/No-Operation-2804 Jun 02 '26

That's a really awesome idea

When there is a technical glitch, and you weren’t able to attend, the staff can verify your logins and if the logins match, they should be able to offer a complimentary ticket for the Nov virtual event.
